I buy into this philosophy. I started out fast but immediately fell in love with a couple of those that I own and slowed down. In fact I regret a couple purchases. My purpose in buying/collecting is not to have a display, a checklist, bragging rights, etc. Although I know that many get enjoyment out...

Help identify this knife I stumbled across
I must have picked this up along the way somewhere. Had to be...longer than 10 years ago. Found it cleaning up some old drawers in the basement. It is a hobo style folder with a PE knife and a camp fork. It is marked Kutmaster on one side and China on the other. All searches for Kustmaster come up w...

Black blade PM2 seems to be what you are looking for ideally, but will take some work to find at your budget. However, the C101GPBBK2 Manix2 would be a very reasonable substitute which will meet your price point and is available right now. They are very similar in spec, but take into consideration t...

The chaparral is my favourite knife, so ill agree with you there. But for the dfly, i would recommend going with the FRN model. Its a lot lighter and a better bang for your buck imo. If you want to spend the premium, i would recommend the ZDP189 Dfly :D I 2nd this. The ZDP Dragonfly is my 1 and onl...

The G10 on the Taiwanese Southard is way gripper than anything I've handled, though I'm not sure if this is peel ply. It appears really widely woven; I'm not sure how or if fabric is used on the process but I guess the this fabric is extremely rough because this g10 is distinctively rough and 'vall...

Differences in G-10?
Good evening everyone - So I was enjoying my new small Persian 2, fidgeting, photographing, flicking, what-have-you....and I am like ****, this G10 feels really soft (in a fine grain sandpapery way). Now mind you -- I only have two G-10 handled blades. So as I am fondling my new favorite knife (is t...

I am waiting for a good deal on a Saver for my first H-1 but I love what this dude did with a modified Tasman lol. The shoe part is cool but keep going through the post for some other hardcore tests!

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/54408705/Forums/SCSmP2.jpg Just received earlier in the week. It is gently used but I am incredibly happy with it. I like the wear on the clip and the previous owner put a nice edge on it for me. Something about the G10 on this knife is very satisfying. I know so...
