if there's one thing I would change on the Native 1, it's the pivot, which is just a pin. The Native 5 gets that part right by using a Torx screw instead, so it can be adjusted if the knife gets loose.

Rinse the nastiness off first, then stick it in my lab's autoclave for good measure, or if the handle can't withstand heat (FRN, etc.), I'll give a good soak in a 10% bleach solution followed by a soak in alcohol.
