Re: Permanent damage that you've actually done to a knife?

I broke the tip doing something stupid with this Caly 3.5. Have you ever done something that immediately you knew that you messed up and there were no overs? I carried the knife for around a year before I broke the tip. https://i.imgur.com/Xc9gpxI.jpg Even though the broken tip was permanent, I was ...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Sok what model is that? And nice pic! As prndltech said, Gayle Bradley Advocate. I fade in and out of this hobby and I was out when this knife came out. When I got around to checking it out, it had been discontinued. I think I hit at the perfect time. Everyone was discounting them and I received tw...

K390.

M4 and VG10 were my favorites for years. I have now carried a Para3 for a couple of years and between K390, M4, and Maxamet, I always come back to K390. I love all these steels though.

Re: Tanto PM2 Support Thread

I am going to have to think long and hard on this one. If it had partial serrations, I would be all in. Is there anything special about this PM2 that would prevent a blade swap or an aftermarket scale change?

Re: edc backpacks

I have been using an Outdoor Products Quest Backpack for about five years. The front zippered pocket fits my 9.7" Ipad perfectly. I use it all the time and it has held up great. I throw it in the washing machine from time to time. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Outdoor-Products-Quest-Backpack-Hydration-...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

It has been a couple of years since I purchased a gun but my last one was a Springfield Armory XD-9 Sub-compact. I put some talon grips and tritium sights on it.

On a side note, there should be good deals on "assault rifles" coming out of Canada since they have been banned.

A couple of questions.
On a scale of one to ten where smooth carbon fiber is a two and the typical G-10 texture is a nine, where would you put the pictured scales in terms of texture aggressiveness?

Where did you get them?

Re: Family friendly jokes

Why is six afraid of seven? Because seven ate nine. ____ An Irishman walks into a bar and says to the bartender, "Give me three pints of Guinness, lad". The bartender obliges, and the Irishman lifts two of the three glasses to the air, as if toasting some invisible person. He then set them down, and...

oops double post.

I’ll use the opportunity to agree that a Sharpmaker should be high on your list to purchase. It is a game changer.

After seeing this, I went to the original post to see if I had missed anything. After seeing that I didn't miss anything from the OP, I looked further down the thread and saw this other stipulation, and yes I missed it. You are easily confused. After thinking about it, I stand by my recomendation. ...
