Re: Can superblue steel be made stain-resistant?

It is high carbon steel, it can't be made stainless or it will become different steel all together.

If you are going exclusively with Spyderco, then the Bushcraft. You may want to bring a hatchet or small forest axe with you as well if you are making shelter or plan on processing a lot of wood. If you want only knives, you probably will have to get a big chopper, and a smaller knife. In this case ...

There will always be some flex in the system and thus never be able to truly achieve a V bevel geometry. The less the downward pressure while sharpening the closer to perfect V the geometry will be. Another variable is the dishing of the stones used to sharpen. All synthetics dish, the lower grits a...

I hear so much about nano oil in the knife world but I just cant get over their marketing. Im sure the product works well but all the benefits they claim to be from their diamonds sounds an awful lot like what Royal Purple calls "synerlec technology" or what weapons shield calls "adv...

For pivot mainly Finish Line Extrem Fluoro (same as CRK grease) and much cheaper.
On my razors I use Ballistol fro long term storage and it works awesome.
Just got Frog Lube last week, not sure how well it will work, it seems a bit thin for pivot applications, but I may be wrong.

Comparing grits between different type materials seems to be a bit difficult. Especially with ceramic which Spyderco doesn't even apply a grit or micron rating. Med., fine, UF are the designations they use. So a while back I used DMT, Shapton glass and Spyderco stones and compared the scratch patte...

The person I bought from had 100% feedback with over 85 transactions, all different stuff. Would someone really...

JNewell, I guess I never noticed that they were bi-directionally textured. It seems to not be very angled. From what I've seen on several forums, there is a time limit for how long you can change the title of a thread you create. Most of the time it is set to a few days. I think I tried to do it he...

Not possible, I am yet to see any forum software that allows a user to change title. Only a moderator/admin can edit titles AFAIK.
