Fool proof method?
I was thinking about counterfeits and verification recently. I guess one difference (at least) between a genuine spidey and a fake would be the steel. The counterfeiters wouldn’t use the same high quality steel as is used on models with special steels (cmp3v/vg10 bla bla) because these steels are mo...

How does this Civilian look to you guys?
I know I could just be 100% safe and buy it from an authorised shop but where I live, there is no such thing. I could order it online but I’d be hit by an enormous import tax bill and customs bill too. I’d actually given up on getting one of these unless I one day travelled to a country where I coul...

Re: So i guess both my live and trainer P'kals are fake
The laser engravings would be a giveaway, each factory does it differently http://i677.photobucket.com/albums/vv140/ballistic82/SpydieLogos.jpg" target="_blank But to be honest I don't have this knife and I really can't tell the difference from pictures. You've used them, did the steel ho...

So i guess both my live and trainer P'kals are fake
Bought them about a year ago from ebay. Both for both about $120 give or take from two different sellers. Both sellers had real good feedback too! I knew there were a few fakes out there but they only seemed to be of the more commonly bought/popular models. Couldn't find any info anywhere of fake p'...

P'kal wave opening stud removable?
Hi there.
Just wanted to know of the "stud" that acts as the wave opener on the p'kal live and trainer knives is unscrewable/removable? So I can take it off but screw it back on at a later date if I want.
Thanks!

How many Spyderco P'kal versions are there?
I have noticed that there is a difference between the locking mechanisms on the p'kal knives on the Internet. Some have a transparent plastic/resin lock others have a black lock and others still seem to have a slightly smaller looking possibly metal?? Lock. Also those with the metal looking lock hav...
