Re: Knife Addiction
That is really amazing, I don't know if I could contain myself if I were to see that collection in person! I just purchased my 3rd millie this morning. I will be the proud owner of one of the Bento Box Exclusives with smurf blue g-10 and CPM-S90v this Tuesday. That will put me at 7 Spyderco's. The ...

Camo military cqi?
I was curious if the latest run of C36GPCMOBK (the camo g-10 black blade military in s30v) have cqi with the lock pin being a machined piece rather than the older torx screw version. I mostly want to know this so I could play blade/scale swap.

Re: What's your favorite steel?
I have been torn between CPM-M4 and CPM-S110V. But lately I have been learning towards s110v. I take care of both really well, but the m4 is so care intensive and the rust spots are not very food service friendly.

Feeding my addiction
So in the roughly 3 years I have been an extremely proud owner of an increasing number of Spyderco knives I have learned one thing more than all else. That is how little I truly know about the blades I love. I rocked my Endura 4 ffg in vg-10 and thought that there could be no better knife made.
Now ...

Re: 2 weeks edc serrations
Well I am now saving up for either the Matriarch with the Emerson wave feature or the Pacific Salt SE. I think a fully serrated blade will give me a better idea of what to like (or hate) about serrations. Because now that I have a week or 10 days left on my month challenge, I still subconsciously go ...

Re: Mike Janich's modded Lil Yo2- any interest?
I guess it depends on my mood as of late. Since I got my 2 millies I don't use anything else. I want a full sized yoj2, but I couldn't see greater use or enjoyment from the modded one. I am also a pretty big guy with some big hands. Maybe an xl version of the yoj2 would be interesting?!?!

Re: 2 weeks edc serrations
I am lucky to have a boss that doesn't worry. He has known me a good while and I have always been that 'knife nut'. Most of the time I carry some of my bigger knives just because I can. No reason to have, something just for show. I like to get my money's worth. At my place of employment honestly any ...

Re: 2 weeks edc serrations
I am holding to it, just to say I tried. I will probably end up getting something SE like the matriarch or civilian. Maybe an Endura. I do see how ce and se can benefit some situations, but in my work and home life.... PE all day!

2 weeks edc serrations
So I have been carrying my Endura 4 combo edge for 2 weeks now. I carry it on my right side so I reach for it first. I have been trying to give serrated blades a fair trial and I am still where I started. I could do without them. I like my two militarys (one in cpm m4 and the other in s110v) I ...

Re: Spyderco Knife Of The Year 2017
I bought a big fat ONE knife on this year’s list, and it’s awesome! Count my vote toward the BHQ M4 Millie. Love the CQI improvements and the fit/finish is perfect; I didn’t have to touch a single screw. Can’t even nitpick if I wanted, nothing else in my collection is good enough for my pocket ...

Re: I love the Spyderco Endura
I love my Endura 4 as well. I prefer the ffg, but a plain edge Saber is a beast. I will try to aquire a few more Endura 4 variants before I get too deep into my military addiction.

Re: 2018 Spyderco Resolutions
Working on my sharpening skills in 2018 is a goal I’m carrying over from 2017. I got decently good at freehand sharpening VG10 this year and picked up some M4 to play with. I’ve been in my dad’s shadow forever, he put a crazy edge on the ZDP Stretch I gave him the first time he put it to his well ...

Re: Spyderco knife retirement home.
I will be testing this very theory. I know that a gas station special lasts between a few days and up to about 3 or 4 months before they either break down or dull to an unusable state. My first Endura lasted for almost 2 years of what I considered hard use (non prying hard use) and I felt like that ...

Yea that is what I carried before I knew what decent knives were. I had no mentor, I learned everything the hard(est) way.

Re: The Military is greater than all other folders because...
I am two days in to owning my first military and I have already purchased another. Of the almost 80 knives I own this one stands out in the crowd easily. The blade action, lock up, balance, weight, ergonomics, everything just screams premium. I even encountered a blade steel that is at the upper ...
