Re: I can’t deny my knife crush on the Spydiechef.

Check your PM's Patrick. Thank's guys it means a lot. My Spydiechef's never failed me and always did what I asked them to do. Hopefully one day she will pass them down to my son's but who knows. This is why I always come back to this forum. I have joined a lot of forums but this is the only one I al...

Re: I can’t deny my knife crush on the Spydiechef.

The Spydiechef has been my favorite Spyderco for a number of years. It never left my pocket until recently. My Wife ordered two of them for me as a present and she had both engraved with a special phrase with a lot of meaning to the both of us. She is divorcing me even though I didn't want the divor...

Re: Finally my first PM2.

Ok I have had it for a day. I can say right off the bat I love the design, compression lock and CPM-10v. I am still feeling it out but it's safe to say I like it. I carried a Titanium frame lock Military for years so the design is familiar to me. I will say this takes more adjusting to get the blade...

Finally my first PM2.

After year's of hearing people rant and rave about the Paramilitary I finally scored one second hand. It will be my first compression lock as well. If I am correct on my info this was a Exclusive for REC in CPM-10v. This will be my first go with CPM-10v as well. Don't worry I didn't go to Jared's fo...

Re: Benchmade Bugout Omega Spring Failure

My best friend ordered a Bugout as his first good knife about a year ago. Last week one of the omega springs broke so I sent him a link and he ordered more. It's good to go again and he has extras now. In my opinion it's not a big deal if I can get replacement spring for it and replace it myself. An...

Re: what's in your cd player now?

I haven't used a CD player in years. I switched from CD's to Minidisk when I was still in high school. I had a MD recording deck in my house sound system. I loved MD a lot better than CD's but it never caught on because MP3's were taking over. When I finally got a smart phone year's back I switched ...

I'll get Mike to build me one.

What would be even cooler in my opinion is if I helped you build your own or at least get you involved in the process so you can see how it's done and say you either built yourself or at least helped build it.

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

I'm not really an AK or AR guy either. I actually like the 'weird' rifles (like the Bren that was posted earlier, which I haven't tried). I know it's weird, but I like the Tavor, the FS2000, and the Robinson XCR--lots of nonstandard stuff. When my first BCM RECCE 16 was lost in a house fire I repla...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

Mad Mac, do you have any thoughts on the 7.62 x 39 (Kalashnikov platform) in that role? I realize there are pretty much AK guys and AR guys, but it often seems to me that the AK is a better short range pistol platform than the AR. I just picked up the Tavor TS-12 I've been eyeing since much earlier...

Re: Streaming TV through VPN

Last time I remember having Dish Network I was paying over $200 a month. We had all the movie channels and a bunch of other stuff. Most of the channels I never watched and I would still find times when I couldn't find anything I wanted to watch. When streaming I can browse whatever I want to and wat...

Re: Streaming TV through VPN

It's been 5 or 6 years since I have had satellite or cable TV. Streaming is where it's at if you have an internet connection that can support it. I have 1gig internet at my place now but the new place can only get internet fast enough for the stone age so I have been researching Starlink to see if i...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

A grendel AK would be amazing. Is there a source for a finished rifle like that? Or are they all 'build your own' guns? I know a few companies have either tried or are going to do it but they aren't easy to find. It would be quicker to have a custom AK built by one of the custom shops I mentioned e...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

This is a Norinco SKS purchased for $65 in the late 1980s. It rode around in the back of my Dad's truck for 30 years. During that time, a number of wild pigs and coyotes fell to it. A while back, I added a $40 Chinese scope. Then late one evening put down this noble predator at 200 yards. My grands...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

Wow Mike. Now, that's what I'm talkin about man. That looks perfect imo. I'm really sorry you had to part with her. Funny thing was AR guys and others would look at it and say it probably isn't accurate. Wouldn't take long to show them it was accurate. 2-2.5MOA out to 400 yards with good ammo like ...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

This was my personal Norinco MAK-90 That's got to be the prettiest MAK-90 I've ever seen... but then, it looks nothing like a MAK-90. I have one with a milled receiver that I've thought would look better with stocks from Ironwood Designs. Are there any other options for milled receivers? Ironwood D...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

I'm gonna have to try an AK someday What manufacturer would you recommend Mike? I will be honest it's not the best time to buy an AK since the market for rifles and parts is high right now. If you were to find a good one at a decent price or went the custom route that is the only way I would buy an...
