Re: Taking apart knives - part 2

Instead of creating a new forum post, I figure I'd ask here first : Was having an issue with my Domino, took apart to inspect bearing/washer and placed everything in "secure" space, naturally lose something =/ Can someone please tell me the size of the Pivot Pin for a Domino? The diameter...

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

If you guys really want one that bad - you'll get one. Relax. If you end up paying a little above retail for something you want THIS bad is it the end of the world? There will be plenty up on forums and the bay soon. I think people need to open their eyes to the idea that part of the reason you want...

We need more Manix 2 Light Weights!

What's not to love?! The ergo's, the light weight, the lock. This is Spyderco's Best Knife IMO. I think we need more M2LW's - M390, Cruwear, LC200N, what do y'all think?

Re: The Waterway Will Be Mine...

From its infancy, the Waterway was designed to be an all around utility knife. It is made to withstand extreme corrosive environments and it has a number of design features that are meant to optimize it for fishing and water activities but it was always intended to be a slim but strong “do everythi...

17 on eBay jeez. My phone was dead and I forgot until hours after the drop. I bet in a month or two the hype will die down and so will the prices.

Re: The Waterway Will Be Mine...

Let's be honest, this knife would sell in other steels as well. Maybe those steels wouldn't be suited for Lance's purpose but they would still be incredible knives. How about in S90v, 204p, or even Cruwear, and sell it as the Fresh Waterway lol.

Re: BHQ with a hap40 Lum Tanto exclusive?

They don't produce this knife anymore, so making a Sprint means they have to go back and set the factory up for it's production. It comes down to scale of economy, I get it. Almost bought two, oops.

The waterway will be the best all around Spyderco utility blade IMO. You could grab a Mora companion HD now and check out the waterway when it releases.

Definitely a pickup for me. Would love to see it ALSO released in CPM 3V for the additional corrosion resistence. Great design. This is the fixed blade many Spydie fans have been asking for!

I'm sure if Seki is using phosphor bronze washers on their other models, they will update the LT as well for economies of scale and efficiency

Re: The Waterway Will Be Mine...

This is such a nice design I think Spyderco should use it for two other versions as well... A super high wear resistant stainless like m390, 20cv, 204p, s90v etc, and one hard use tool steel like Cru-wear or 3v.

Re: Official 2018 Catalog Discussion

Vtoku-2 is a steel with a ton of carbon and not much else. Going to be tough to keep that edge clean. Not trying to be pessimistic but I was more excited for that other Japanese Sprint run we had discussed on the forum earlier while throwing ideas around. Edit = hoping Lance's Waterway ends up just ...

Re: 30 Day Fixed Blade Challenge...

I carried the first prototype of my fixed blade design everyday for a month. One of the goals of that design was to make a fixed blade and sheath that was thin and narrow enough to ride IWB comfortably on long fishing sessions. I am usually in boardshorts with no belt so IWB is the default carry me...
