Re: The Magnacut Paramilitary 2

Oh, I really like that yellow and back one. Out of curiosity, what is the lock bar made out of? Is it corrosion resistant as well?

Re: The Magnacut Paramilitary 2

What’s the point of making such an already corrosive resistant blade, DLC!

Really hope they do this in a plain non DLC version.

if you say all of our knives have lock stick or lock rock, why would you continue to purchase them?
Lol...this is exactly my question as well. It's either exaggeration or doesn't make alot of sense....

Re: What is the point of this notch?

I believe it’s a channel for debris to accumulate instead of effecting the lockup. It’s not a defect, all 4 of my paramilitaries have this. Of course they all have it haha, I'm questioning mine...which looks nothing like other PM2s, the bottom is real rough looking. Was wondering it mattered, that'...

Re: What is the point of this notch?

jhvjhvhj.jpg If the blade lockup is good I wouldn't mess with it. Yes I know it's not "normal". I made a thread on this a few days ago...just trying to figure out what the notch is for... I'm no expert, so take this with a grain of salt. Could it possibly be part of the design to absorb o...

What is the point of this notch?

What is the purpose of this cutout in the PM2 tang? Where the red arrow is....(this is not my knife btw) https://i.imgur.com/PjNx2sG.jpg Because mine looks like this and isn't a nice straight clean edge. Will this effect anything? https://i.imgur.com/GLmB56A.jpg Right now it doesn't seem like it doe...

Re: Knife Center Personal Data Leaks

I am a retired system administrator and NOC analyst. I use password managers to create complex 20+ character passwords. I also use Capital One's ENO to create temporary credit cards that expire, but unfortunately have a temp cc for a preorder. I do not like my data being "out there" but I...

I need some new clip screws for my centofante 3

My centofante 3 is my first spyderco I ever had. Got it maybe 13 years ago. Somehow the clip is barely hanging on by one screw. How do I get some new clip screws? I emailed spyderco last week but haven't gotten a response...

Here is another pic of what I'm talking about. The extra metal hanging down on the bottom left. I'm not sure or would effect anything though.

Re: A tale of two PM2s

I certainly do respect your "problem" and that the way that tang looks bothers you! But that said and honestly: I personally would most likely never even have noticed that tiny "imperfection" (I´d even argue if it IS that or rather just a variation) - which furthermore can only ...

Re: A tale of two PM2s

I only have three PM2 models and all look like your first picture . MG2 Same here with my 3 PM2's and my 4 PM3's. And I suspect you'd see that little notch (if that's what's causing the OP concern) on all of them because it's a ramp for the detent ball to ride in when opening and closing. Not talki...

Re: A tale of two PM2s

Seems to be chatter from dull tooling. It's quite common in manufacturing. Nothing to worry about unless it effects function. It will more than likely smooth out over time due to lock bar friction. Thanks. Yeah I was more concerned about the bottom part not being a clean straight line, but being ja...

Grrrreat. Yeah I've had probably 10 PM2s over the years...only have these two now though. They have all varied in action and slight bladeplay...finally I got one that has great both...but then I notice this fml.
