Re: Texturing Ti Handles

Not sure of the specifics of the process, but I don't see why orange-peeling wouldn't be an option.

My newest acquisition.

Check this beauty out! http://i.imgur.com/7RMt51h.jpg It's got a little bit of wear and tear, but it still works like a charm... with enough sawing... Even works as a screwdriver! http://i.imgur.com/XhFRBF9.jpg I also have another one, tip's pretty thin, no good for prying or removing screws or anyt...

Wouldn't make any difference at all. That jimping you use to flip the blade would still have to spin at least 180 degrees to open the blade, so it would contact the ball of the CBBL. Maybe this will make it easier to understand. There just isn't anywhere on the tang that you could put a flipper lev...

I don't see why you couldn't have a CBBL or BBL front flipper. The jimping might be a problem, but you could just have the middle smooth, with jimping on the edges.

Not a Spyderco, yet still one of my favorites. Northwoods Norfolk with Light Ebony and 1095. It didn't look like this before I cut up an apple!

I believe investing in the diamond rods if you haven't already will help you with ZDP if you need to really resharpen it. I don't have any personal experience, so I'll let others chime in.

I do have a sharpmaker. I was leaning towards caly 3.5 in zdp??? I don't have any experience with the CF version, but trust me, you'll love the Caly 3.5. It's an ergonomic dream. That, coupled with ZDP... Only worries I'd have is the 420J2 laminate scratching, if that type of thing bothers you. But...

Do you have a sharpmaker? If not, I'd go with that and still have about $100 left over. Perfect for a Caly 3.5. (Disregard this if you have a sharpmaker/other sharpener)

Caly 3/3.5 in CF and ZDP, Sage 2, 3, or 4, Chap 1. Techno and Military are just a few bucks over $150.
