Do you have a sharpmaker? If not, I'd go with that and still have about $100 left over. Perfect for a Caly 3.5. (Disregard this if you have a sharpmaker/other sharpener)


Caly 3/3.5 in CF and ZDP, Sage 2, 3, or 4, Chap 1. Techno and Military are just a few bucks over $150.

The pivot cutout looks sorta dented, I don't know if that's normal or not, seeing as I don't own a Southard.
If you hold the lockbar over to the side while opening or closing, so it's not touching the blade at all, does it still do the same thing?

Mine came today as well!

I saw the Caly 3.5 for $80 the other day. There was only one in stock. By the morning, it had gone up to $98 with 10 in stock.

It is not discontinued. I checked the Spyderco site, and the catalog lists it as well.

I was reading through this, and was wondering about why everyone seemed to miss the release of the Tusk.
I need to check the dates next time.

I've seen some models (Native 5, and another I forgot) being referred to as having an improved lock back design. I haven't actually seen anyone talk about what's been changed.

So my question is, how is the lock better?

I think a Super Blue sprint is a great idea. I don't even care if it's the 3 or 4.

I won't be able to post another pic for a while, so I guess anyone can go now.

Well, this was back in 2003. The H1 Spyderhawk went from 2009-2011, MSRP of $119.95. Again, according to the Spydiewiki.
