Question about the UKPK. If you needed to route out a larger circle than the OD of the washers how big a deal would that be? In fact if they turned out ovals would it matter? The only way you would know they weren't perfect would be if you disassembled the knife. I don't think the performance would...

I didn't sand my FRN on my Dragonfly because I made a new handle from another material. But I did put PH washers in the new handle. I don't remember exactly but I think I got the thinnest ones on USAKM. I had to base the washer thickness on the thickness of the thickness of the FRN you are thinking...

I'm most sad to see the Chokwe go, especially with its lack of direct competition. This is the first mention I've heard of the sage 3 speculation, I hope not, it'll be my next spyder purchase (after Xmas) so not like I'll be effected by it (actually disco'ing it would probabily make it cheaper retai...

Adding PB washers to FRN Dragonfly? (Plus I just did it to my UKPK!)

I've wanted to add Phosphros Bronz washers to my dragonfly for awhile now, has anyone done it? I just finished up the same project on my UKPK but I could use my mill on that one since the scales are 2 pieces, with the one piece FRN dfly handle I won't have that option so I'll be limited to using a f...

Just got a military, initial impressions.

I just got the largest folding knife I've ever had, a milli blackout PE. This thing is a freaking beast, I LOVE it (and I usually prefer a 3" blade for general EDC front pocket carry). Haven't done much with it cause it literally just showed up an hour ago- cleaned my fingernails lol. I can't w...

The BMC shop is located in the US and offer 4 steel options which are all US steels, delica's are made in Japan with JAP steel, from what I understand its rather hard to export VG-10 blades, not completed...

...When you pry it from my cold, dead hands.

Thought this would be a cool idea for a picture thread, post up a pic of any item (knife, firearm, tool, anything) that no matter what its worth you will never get rid of it and explain your reasoning. I'll be posting my photos later today once I get home, till then let's see and hear about what's m...

Thanks! It's a desert tan cobra stitch on the inside with a black cobra stitch in the outside, about 160 feet of cord in it, its also got 8" of adjustment (where it changes to nylon strap) at the front end.

They overlay almost exactly, the blade width is exactly the same, the hardware lines up when overlaid, the only difference is the blade is .12" longer on the robin. Their features might be quite different but by design they're very close, till someone comes along who has actually held both kniv...

Robin blade swappable with dragonfly blade?

I've been searching all day and can't find any info either way. Is it possible to stick a dragonfly blade in a robin handle? The lock bar would have to stay with the blade, does it have the same mounting point? If so the resulting knife would be amazing- H1 or even ZDP, G10 w/ all screw together con...

All I have is a cell phone photo, am I still welcome to share?
This is pretty much the first time I've ever got to share any photo on the internet, I only got the [equipment with the] ability to upload pics earlier today.

Like I said ya all peer pressured me into it, the pics helped too, I had never seen another done like it. I thought I was being original lol. Well I posted a couple cell phone pics in the first post so you could see the end results, again thanks for all the encouragement.

The give away to me is the metal above the spyder hole, the FFG should start all the way up top. Post #21 by SteelSpyder shows that perfectly.

I did it! It looks freakin sweet too, one day I'll be able to post pics and show it off (along with my Ladybug1 w/ recurved blade). Thank you spyderco for making these awesome knives at a price point that's low enough I don't feel bad when I customize them to make them mine.

My dilemma : To mod or not...

I'm having a bit of a dilemmia, I bought a knife specifically to moddify extensively but now I just can't pull the trigger. The knife is a Delica wave and I had several mods planned including a back spacer swap (from my purple D4) and a file pattern in the lock-bar, both of which I did and it looks ...

That's horrible but the people on reddit are freaking hallarious... Take it to small claims court? I don't know where the OP is or where it took place but here in Ohio it costs $175 out of your pocket just to file the claim- that's up front possible months before any action happens and then its you ...

Let me tell you what, don't be discouraged by the back lock, I have always been a liner/frame lock fan but once I got my first spyderco (a delica4 FFG) I quickly saw the advantages of a back lock- fully ambi, Ive never found anyone who had to ask how to use one, slimmer, even body width on each side...
