If you prefer plain edge, the Jester is the way to go. I have a PE Micarta Jester that I really like. Quite an interesting and useful design, with a blade shape that makes placing the index finger on the spine comfortable.

I use my Rescue Jr for sawing through hard plastics. For things like cardboard, I just put the material being cut into one of the large scallops and push cut right through. Does an awesome job.

I don't currently own a CE knife. I like the concept, but as some folks have mentioned, it has to have enough serrated edge to be useful.
