I have Emersons with the chisel grind and I've never had a single problem. Very easy to sharpen and they can be incredibly sharp.

I have a few tantos from Emerson and like them a lot. They actually do function quite well for regular, everyday cutting tasks. They're great slicers or stabbers.

You can never have too many knives, lol! There are some great people here, I miss posting on this forum. I don't come here exclusively for the knives; it's the people I love!

I've been in a few scrapes in my time. Almost ever single one of them while on duty in the prison. Been on the ground for a good many of them. Truth be told, "All" fights do not go to the ground. Some do, some don't. One of the advantages of my taking a bad guy to the ground is that many o...

I'm a Glock guy all the way. Buy yourself a Glock 19 and you'll never look back; it's midsized, not too small, not too large. Magazines and spare parts for Glocks are super-plentiful and inexpensive. Glocks are ridiculously reliable, as well. Reasonably accurate. The 9mm round is fine for defense, a...

I like the show a lot! Last month, as I was leaving an even in Reading, PA, I was standing next to a gentleman who looked very familiar. Then it clicked in my mind! I asked him if he was on the show Top Shots, and he said, "Yep, that was me." It was Jeremy Finks. What a nice guy! We talked...

I think the pic that affected me most was the one with three AK-47-toting dudes who just murdered the three people who were lying face down on the ground. I know it happens every day, but I simply cannot fathom how some people can do that to others in such a cold-blooded, ghoulish fashion. They're h...

Thanks for the replies guys. I had heard years ago a click represented the distance between clicks on the rear site of a rifle when sighting it in for distance. Let's say you sight it in for 500 yards. Raise the rear sight by turning it one click (sound made when it "clicks" into the next...

If it was a home invasion and they just kicked the door in and came charging in, my plan would go as follows: 1. Draw Glock 19 or XDm. 2. Point pistol. 3. Press trigger repeatedly until all bad people fall down. 4. Repeat as necessary. If it was a night time break-in scenario, it would hopefully go ...

WOW!!!!!! David, your work is absolutely incredible!
I'm a bit of an artist myself, but I have to say, yours is top notch.

Did you attend an art school to learn your drawing techniques? Dick Kramer is an idol in the art world for me, as well.

Personally, I've found the AR-15/M16/M4 series to be the most user-friendly rifles/carbines out of the dozens I've fired over the years. I don't really put much time into worrying about their weight, as I only add accessories that have a valid, solid reason to be there. A low-powered scope, BUIS, an...

Officer Down

Officer Dwayne Oshinski, Rest In Peace, brother. We will take your watch. I worked with Dwayne for years as a fellow officer before he transferred to another institution a few years back. On many occasions, we put our lives in each others' hands. You will be missed. ****, that's three we lost in the...
