Re: Stainless Kopa Sprint Run Preview

Very nice, I've been waiting a long time for a knife like that. Understated, elegant and clipless, a true gent's knife. I'm also glad to see a Moki made knife again. Thanks for listening Sal.

Re: Caly Jr. Sprint

I personally don't need and want jimping (to be honest I loathe it) and a screwed pivot, however I would also prefer solid Super Blue. As far as I know the Calypsos are made by Moki and they used solid Super Blue blades in the past (Caly3 SB sprint run) so it may be possible.

Re: Pre 2005 Spyderco Models For Sprint Runs? Most Desired? Most Needed?

Linerless full-sized Calypso This. And the Calypso Jr. in FRN or with metal handle (stainless steel or titanium) with flush pins and some nice japanese steel. I'm glad to see that there seemingly is quite some interest in the Calypsos recently and hope to see another sprint run. They are excellent ...

Re: Would you buy an AEB-L Military?

Yes, definitely. Very interesting steel. My only problem would be the wrong handed lock of the Military, the only thing which kept me from getting the 52100 sprint run (my grail knife). :(

Me too. Some time ago I made this:

The edge is identical to the drop point version so it shouldn't be too difficult to make I think.

Re: To Honor?

Now he is discriminating against people? Nope, still don't see it. Paul telling lies about good people just because they have different opinions from his angers me I'd be angry too if he was discriminating or lying about anybody, not just worshipers of Islam. He isn't and it's not even close. Yes, ...

Re: To Honor?

Ignaz, do some research and reading yourself from the Quran, Hadith and Sira. Yeah, calling you names is wrong. I admit that. Having you acting like a child trying to get someone in trouble because you don't have sufficient depth of knowledge yet maintain strong opinions on these subjects annoys me...

I apologize for causing disturbance and derail this interesting thread. I didn’t want to start a political discussion but just wanted to inform people about his rather extreme and discriminating political views. In a certain way honoring a person is a statement.

Re: To Honor?

Very intersting idea Sal. There are many good and knowledgeable people here on the forums who deserve being honored. But I don’t think the Deacon would be a good choice. Even though I admire Paul’s knowledge and great taste in knives I would be very uncomfortable with Spyderco honoring him. I have b...

I would love one. Especially with FFG PE and linerless pinned construction. Maybe with OD or foliage green G10. It's a really nice classic design
