You're hurtin me with this pic, pretty fish. I target the flounder. Over the years have caught some really nice doormats in the St. Augustine/Matanzas area. Could you see through it after filleting? ;) Don't get to go much lately, being caregiver for an elderly mother really takes time. Get or make...

To clarify do you want a knife which is stronger and stiffer than the Martini but also more flexible? The Martini (Rapala) I have does a great job on speckled trout, flounder and the like. But redfish scales are too tough for it to muscle through. I would like to see Spyderco develop a knife that c...

It is pretty easy to find a decent fillet knife : http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y269/CliffStamp/restoration/DSC027461280x319_zps3eefcbc2.jpg That is a very common model from Martini, generally well regarded they come with more of a utility style edge which isn't just for filleting as it is stron...

Spyderco fillet knife?

Been looking and I don't see a Spyderco fillet knife. Have they ever made one? Any plans?

With their innovative designs, materials and quality, I'm sure it would be a hit.

send it back. my manix xl is pretty much perfect other than it showed up with a small chip and that went away with a sharpening OK ... my knife techie friend convinced me to unscrew the scales and take a peek ....... the D pivot was not set. He turned it 90 degrees and all's well. My novice ignoran...

I would email Spyderco, explain the situation, and say you would like to send it in. I'm sure they will ask you to do so and they'll also be expecting it/have some context when it arrives. They'll take care of you. I did that .... and got a "canned answer" to send in the knife with 5 buck...

Have you tried snugging up the screws that attach to the lock/stop bar? It could just be loose. I had a couple of Dodo's that came with the screws torked down oddly. Another question I have is, how many washers are between the blade and the liner? You should be able to see that if you look closely ...

Manix 2 XL issue

I just received my new Manix 2 XL and there is a QC issue. The seller has offered to accept return, but has no replacement stock. So ..... I'm either 1) out the shipping money (both ways) and have no knife, 2) accept the defect, or 3) ship it back to Spyderco and wait 3 weeks. None of these are real...
