Thanks for the update! When it comes out I plan on testing the knife while camping on the beach. Sand and salt water, should be interesting with an auto!

Please please can we get an update and some more pictures of this knife? It's been in development forever, the last update many months ago said it was shooting for a release this fall. Is that still the case? Has the Coast Guard version been released to them yet?

I would like the sprint manix but the S110V is almost the perfect knife. Awesome steel, good length blade, and super lightweight. The FRN doesn't bother me at all.

A lot of the other kitchen knives from spyderco seem cheap, especially the handles. Would really love a higher end kitchen line!

You're probably right, but driftwood will be hard to find at this place. No firewood from outside the state allowed, I'll have to process some of their pre-cut wood. I'm thinking a 4" fixed blade should be fine for that.

Thanks for the ideas. I have a Salt 1 already so I'll definitely take that. I agree with bringing a fixed blade as I'll be starting all the fires. I've been looking at the Rock Salt as a fun choice. This will be car camping so I have the luxury of taking more stuff. I might take something fun to tes...
