Obsidian does take a heat treat though, and ribbon Obsidian would make for a sweet knife blade.
Never heard of ribbon obsidian so I looked it up.
It looks really nice :-)
Thanks for all your help. Used a diamond to get to 20 degrees. Thats the smallest angle the Smith's kit (from Walmart) can reach. I can already shave hair and cut paper soso (might be just my way of cutting and not the knife) I plan to go down to 15 but need to find a way to trick the angle rod guid...
Flint blades are so stone age. Call me when they come out with the obsidian version. Some Amber scales would go pretty with that. To help ensure the 2016 Forum knife is available when announced, Spyderco is running the 2016 production concurrent with the 2013 batch. Early leaks indicate the 2016 ver...
Looks great. Whats on the last picture? A small knife on a big one? Here are some more close up shot of the mokuti ones http://knives.mutantdiscovery.com/mokuti1_pattern.jpg http://knives.mutantdiscovery.com/mokuti2_pattern.jpg http://knives.mutantdiscovery.com/mokuti2_.lock.jpg http://knives.mutant...
Hi, Im planning on putting a flatter angle on one of my knifes. The knife (seal puppy) is 4.73 inch long and made from AUS8. How much wear can I expect on the Sharpmaker rods? Or should I grind the angle down with another tool. Suggestions would be great but I don't plan to buy a belt sander just ye...
During that kind of her climbing adventures she got the injury. Must have been the heat and humidity today, normally she just gets callus and no blisters. Video: https://youtu.be/M6UiTCfZCx0 Dude, that is one serious 4 year old you have there. Awesome video of some awesome skills. I hope my little ...
Cut my 4 year old daughter's popped blister before the loose skin could pull out even more skin from her hand. I carried my black Native today. I wish the tip would have been a bit more pointed to get under the top layer of the skin (the 2nd layer was already looking fine, just a bit moist but not r...
Have been wondering for a while now with other blades and my latest Spyderco (black Native), Is the black coating safe for the preparation of food? I like coatings for rust prevention and low visibility but who knows how safe or toxic these coatings can be? Some of it will surely transfer to food fr...
Performance is the same.
However I like the decorated design much better.
There should be some pictures at the Kickstarter project where these pens appeared first.
Hope this helps.
had some weird 60 year old pistol in the German army and never hit anything at 15 yards.
Used a friends MP 9 (SW) and hit everything in one spot. Didn't try any other pistols yet.
I use it and my wife has one too. She is less careful with it then me though. Its worth the price if you like titanium and the design (I got a "decorated" version) Otherwise a $0.10 pen writes too. I prefer the TiBolt to some waterman or montblanc. They look too girly. The titanium pen how...
