Not to completely hijack this thread, but does s30v corrode that easily? I've never had any spotting or corrosion on my s30v blades and I live in houston texas, a very salty and humid area. At long as I keep some oil on the blades I have never had a problem. 8cr13mov on the other hand.......... not ...

Yes definitely keep all good knives out of the dishwasher. Dish washer detergents are generally at least slightly abrasive so they will dull your knife in no time. Hand washing of knives is preferred. But I agree with the VG10 steel suggestions as mentioned above. Also a pacific salt may be a good o...

I ended up going with a wooden watch and placed it in a hand carved celtic box that I purchased from Ireland (online). She was thrilled with it and loves the watch. Today we leave for our little weekend getaway at which point the details of the event will be left up to the imagination. :) Thanks aga...

Ok after receiving the Ulize and using it for basic EDC tasks for the past two days and carrying it I wanted to give my review. I will be making a video as well but I wanted to get my thoughts out there on this knife. First of all, thank you again to Spyderco for hosting the calender contest and for...

To the OP SHardcastle, as far as removing etching or printing from a blade, you could try to polish it out with a rotary tool and buffing compound, however from my experience this just lightens it and makes it more of a 'ghost' image. You could also try so very VERY high grit sand paper and work ver...

Hey Ken, if its any consolation when my mother was scheduled for her lumpectomy they delayed the surgery for about 8 weeks as well. There was no real justification for this wait, but it can be taken as a reassuring sign. If it was an emergency, I assure you they would not be waiting. Be patient with...

I like FRN better, I think it is more wear resistant. A light weight FFG Native 5 could be the knife to beat the delica. About the same blade length, but with a forward finger choil like in the byrd meadowlark. Good weight and ergos... this could be great! I'd love to see some different colors offer...

Hey, not to bring back an old thread back from the dead, but anyone hear anything about this Blue Lava Sprint? I've had mine on pre-order from KnifeCenter for about a month now and I keep getting emails from them telling me that my order is still in process and that it will be shipped when inventory...
