Doing some search queries through mtbr.com, I found what seems to be a good value for around the $400 price range. Check out: Airborn...

Hi Apophis, I did check out the dealer locator for my area (which, currently there are none), although I would prefer to buy direct from Spyderco, makes me feel safe knowing that it will undoubtably be a genuine Spyderco.

I reeeeeally want a Surly Moonlander but they're super expensive. surlybikes.com/bikes/moonlander I've seen a few of those bikes around, and they are definitely an eye catcher. The big fat wheels is supposed to make it much easier riding thru sand, snow and other places more conventional tires have...

General inquiry about the availability of certain knives

Just wondering, why IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to buy a para2 from Spyderco direct. Their website lists all models as Currently out of stock.

Xceptnl, bought from Mud, Sweat and Gears. Awesome to deal with too! Are you looking into buying a new mtb? IG, there are virtually no mountains where I live, but a lot of shield country and hills. Plenty enough for me to get out and get some exercise and enjoy the outside Evil D, vintage road bikes...

Thanks

Delica smoothness

This has probably been hashed out here a lot, but I just wanted to say that after 8 years, my Delica just seems to get smoother and smoother. Maybe its the pivot screw tightness, but I can flick my Delica out with my middle finger fast and every single time. My new Endura, I can't. Is it the extra h...

Ice fishing is great, no need for a boat :p and usually you can catch a hungry bugger pretty quick. Only drawback, if you wanna call it that, is drilling the holes, the ice was about 4 feet thick there  makes for some good exercising!

I don't have a lot of experience with the application of tool steels in knives other then D2. I would also point out that blade geometry, grind and thickness are all variables that play a role in how the steel will perform. A good example was my Bob Dozier Buffalo River Hunter. It was a fixed blade ...
