FRN is now replicable, which means that they have enough money for dies.

The Delica and Endura, to the best of my knowledge, have no copies.

That's not to say there aren't Spyderco inspired knives in FRN like the Navy K633 but I've not seen anything that is clearly a copy of the Endura/Delica range.

There does appear to be copies of the Dragonfly around though.

AliExpress is a direct trading website for Chinese made products. Unfortunately some of those products are copies of American made products like knives. You can get some good stuff there, but be aware that if something is badged "Spyderco" it'll be a copy, as is anything marked Strider, or Hinderer.

Does the dealer sell a lot of Spyderco knives? Where are they located? Google is your friend.

To be honest they look and weigh about the same (apparently fakes are much heavier (20 grams?)), the G10 looks identical.

If you want to keep cutting cardboard I suggest grabbing the ZDP-189 Delica. You'll want diamonds for sharpening but I can't see it going dull for a very very long time.

Labour in China is cheap, and they have a lot invested in machinery. If linked advertisements are correct then the steel is something like 5Cr13MoV which is... not the best steel around... even in China and although it's technically on par with 420HC I doubt it gets the heat treatment of Buck or ...

Probably mostly because it's a HUGE country with a lot of things to look after and in the overall scheme of things it's not a pressing priority.

Are you sure you don't mean 440C? I've used both 8Cr and 440V, and I doubt 9Cr is that drastic an improvement over 8Cr. 440V is miles ahead of 8Cr in everything

They're obviously fairly skilled cutlery makers, if they were to make their own titanium framelock flipper they could probably get into the market in the same way that Enlan and Sanrenmu have. Certainly they'd have to work on steel heat treatment, this one is probably 9Cr18MoV ...

I have the Emerson waved Matriarch. The Emerson wave works well, the knife itself... well I haven't had to test it for its designed usage.

Your best insurance is buying from a reputable seller.

If the seller is in China then you're probably not looking at an authentic knife.
