Re: Describe the upsides and downsides of your favorite knife in a single statement.

Watu: Slim, comfortable, drops free, and cuts like a dream. The blade tip will shatter if you look at it the wrong way. Also it looks like Sal asked a 5 year old to draw a knife then designed the Watu based on that :rofl It's part of the ethnic series & based on an African design, much used by ...

Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!

I've been ignoring GITD for decades so I was very surprised that this current stuff glows much brighter and for several hours. It could be useful if you were sleeping in a tent or the like. It inspired me to get the GITD Delica, which I usually leave on a bedside bookcase about a yard away from a di...

Re: Describe the upsides and downsides of your favorite knife in a single statement.

Tuff: Great in every way except that there’s no left handed model . The DLT exclusive is my favorite knife. I've always been a little grumped up about that, to the extent that I've never bought one. It's one of the very, very few Spydies that can't be easily closed one-handed with the left hand. Ho...

Re: Anymore versions of the SS Stretch coming?

I'd be most interested in the current K390 offering in a drop point. Hopefully this will be reality soon. CG Same here. Plus, I can't help but be interested in the SS Stretch XL. When I compare the SSS blade to that of the Military, it's easy to envision the SSS XL as being something like a super l...

One thing I like about this forum is that everybody seems to tolerate digressions and extraneous comments Right on, Doug. The diversity of interests, thoughts, and attention spans is what makes this place interesting. Excessively rigid rules can make a forum seem sterile and boring. I think Kristi ...

I also appreciate the popup notification. It gives me the chance to include a response to any new posts if I choose or delete anything that they've made redundant. I've never taken it as in any way personally applying to the worth of my post, although I do sometimes digress and veer off into other a...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

Not the best prices on some models but no doubt there are some gems. The SE Temperance will be headed my way this week!! Thanks! That's where I got my small Persian from. Some are definitely worth paying a premium for. That Jigged Bone Delica is tempting but I'm trying (with little success) to spen...

Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!

Yes indeed great knife and I can't wait for the dragonfly-sized version . I can't wait either. If we're lucky enough to get a D-fly sized version, I really hope they'll scale up the Jester handle shape and not put the Jester blade on a D-fly handle. That's one of the main things I like about it, an...

Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!

@ Enactive, thanks for the detailed info on carry options. I've been worried about losing my Jester or leaving it in my pocket in the closet or laundry. I'm not used to carrying small knives except my Manbug, to which I've screwed on a clip. I've never cared for dangly things on my knives before, bu...

Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!

Glad to see that happen so quickly. When I started that thread, I put glow in the dark in the poll as something I personally wanted, not something I thought we'd ever actually see. I only just found out it became real and, of course, it's sold out. Ugh. Got you covered. Check your PMs .. I was read...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

An old H1 Salt 1 off the 'Bay. Funny, I was going to post that I felt good having nothing on order then this one pops up. I got one new off the 'Bay a few months back. Had been looking for one for quite awhile. That and the original black Pac Salt are sort of iconic for me, some of the first Spydie...

Maybe not totally crazy, just a little neurotic or confused ;)
But with all the interest in the GITD Joker, you may want a GITD Delica to go with it. There are some on eBay for $90 shipped now.

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

GITD Delica, to go with my Jester. In fact one reason I got the Jester was to find out how well the GITD worked and how the handle looked in daylight and was happy with both. Am thinking of swapping a wharnie into the Delica.

There're some GITD Delicas on eBay for $90 with free shipping now.

Finally took possession of my 2. I think this is my first order from KJ and I too love the little extras! Makes it feel like a holiday to open the box. Really like this little knife. Really Really like the blade shape and would love to see a larger version on a Dragon Fly. That would be great, but ...
