Re: K390 fans rejoice!

This may turn out to be one of the most popular Seki sprint series, for me at least! (The Superblue series holds that spot for me so far.) I hope the Endela is the first release -- I've wanted one for years, though I usually called it an Endelica or Delacura :D Also looking forward to the Wharnie Dr...

Re: Sal, are there any plans for another K390 knife?

Well, I’ll be... Looks like my Endura family is going to grow. K390 is one of my faves. I’m curious what had to happen in Seki City for European steel to be allowed into Japanese-made knives. The EU and Japan recently signed a trade pact i believe Don't know if this has anything to do with it or no...

Re: Micarta Putman scales at DLT

I just made my first scales out of micarta today. Man, it’s nasty stinky stuff. I can see why Spyderco hasn’t been wanting to make knives with micarta. I know sal has said it was because of the lack of moisture or something in Golden but I have to think it has to do with how messy it is. I've bough...

Wish they had some green micarta for an XL, I'd grab some.
I told Allen Putman that ^^^ when I answered his email about the Manix 2 scales. It would help create more demand if we could get a new XL sprint or exclusive in K390.

Re: Micarta Putman scales at DLT

I really like the Putman micarta scales I got from SMKW on my Manix 52100 (not too crazy about his G10 ones). I tried to find more for my M2 M4, etc, last week, but everybody was out of stock. I finally received an email from "your online store's contact form" from Allen Putman himself, who said he ...

Re: Sal, are there any plans for another K390 knife?

Yeah right on! I've never cared, but all my family\friends expect it. My family are my coworkers so that's no problem. Small knives will never do what a big knife will do ,but most big knives will do bout anything a small knife will! True, even shaving your tender earlobes, but you have to be caref...

Re: Sal, are there any plans for another K390 knife?

Endela in K390 could be my dream come true if it was similar to a 3.5" Police4 (smoothed finger grooves, choil, slim). You have hit the nail on the head. I like my P4 so much I've wished for an 8-inch version which could be my main EDC. Except for the PM2, I feel that the 8" size is very neglected,...

Re: Intro & Please Welcome!

Welcome, Brandon. Since I've been on this forum, I've been pleasantly surprised time and again by the overall caliber of the members and of course the Spyderco Crew. I feel sure you'll have the same experience, despite our sometimes whacky comments.

Re: Manix XXL

If it was 4V or K390 or even Cruwear, 3V, etc., Yes. S30V? Probably not. I have way too many VG 10, S30V, etc. knives already. I have to admit that I lean in this direction too. Which brings up the (off topic) fact that we don't even have these steels in the XL yet, or even the Manix 2, except for ...

Re: Manix XXL

I love the pinky hook on the XL. it anchors your grip so well. Just needs chamfered edges or rounded off like the Shaman. I agree on both counts. It has the most perfect hand fit of any knife, for me. I'd keep the shape the same and really don't feel the need for more overall size, just round out t...

Re: Count ‘em up and share

I feel much better after seeing CXXX's list. I have 97 now, or if you count my 2 Bug sets I won in a contest, 103. My Manix2's, especially M4 and 52100, and XLs are special, as well as blue anodized Ti, regular Ti, and Cruwear Millies, Superleaf, a pair of nishijin Rs, BayouShooter Endura, Police 4,...

Around 10% (mostly mules and swicks) and I probably only use them around 2% of the time, but sometimes they have a valuable function just being there.

Re: CPM 4V | Edge Performance

I'd like to see 4V at high hardness and FFG in the Manix 2 and Manix 2 XL. And of course, I'd like to see it narrower BTE. I didn't buy the Fradon Lock exclusive because of the price ($209.95--high for me) and hollow grind -- But the hollow grind looked pretty thin behind the edge. Anybody know its ...

Re: Today I had a HUGE surprise with my Lil'Native... you were so right Doc !

I prefer the Dfly, but I also took the clip off and let it float in RFP. The thinness and weight make me have to often check that I haven’t lost it. Mine is a HAP 40 that was a gift from a fellow forumite here in Birmingham. I should say thanks again to that person, I have edc that knife M-F for ab...

Re: Today I had a HUGE surprise with my Lil'Native... you were so right Doc !

IMO the strong suit of the Dfly is its light weight, especially the 1.2 ounce FRN model, which is half the weight of the Lil Native. My SB sprint has a near permanent place, clipped in the inner edge of my shirt pocket. This sort of puts it in a separate category from the Lil Native... so I'm thinki...

Re: Manix 2 backlock SALT please

i prefer the cbbl to a backlock, but agree it’s not best for marine environments. i’d love to see the manix backlock in lc200n with a standard manix 2 blade thickness and thinner g10 scales than were on the disco’d manix backlock. i’d also love a compression lock manix, but i feel like that’s just ...
