Hinderer does an FDE (Flat Dark Earth) and Black DLC. So its def possible

When you put it back together did you flip the washers? As in the part that was against the blade is now against the handle? Those ball bearing washers have to go in with a certain side facing the blade. Maybe thats what fixed it.

Glad to hear about your experience with Charlynn. I also had a similar experience with a PM2 I sent in. I bought it NIB but when you disengaged the compression lock it took considerably more pressure than my other PM2s and there was also a "click" sound, like there was a notch or something...
