Re: S110v help

That's what I am leaning towards. Plus I'm not a big "just the tip" cutter. So it will workout just fine.

I also wanna let this steel shine, so does anyone have an edge suggestion? I don't look for polished edges but I want a good toothy edge that lasts a long time

So it's not as bad as I thought...

And I traded a knife I don't carry so I wasn't too worried about it.

Re: S110v help

I didn't wanna waste any sweet blade steel. But it's where the chip is... About 3/4 up the blade.

I will post pics as soon as I get it

S110v help

I am getting a para2 in s110v from a co-worker in a few days. I am pumped....but there is a good size chip in the blade.

Is it going to be impossible to remove it with the 204 diamond stones? Or should I look for a professional to take it out?

And info is appreciated.

What steel is used in the Grasshopper? its listed as 3cr on the spyderco.com, but i bought it from another place that had it advertised as 8cr13mov. is there a way to tell the difference?

I have always wanted a Poliwog. Or a Balance in ZDP...

I like the trimming of a Techno Idea, but that is a little rich for my blood at this point.... plus doubt I can find one with a broken tip that I could get cheap and feel at peace with grinding down

New Little Big Knife Ideas???

I live in northern VA and with DC and our less than exemplary government near by... I know that there are a lot of individuals in the area that can not carry anything to work larger than 2.5 inches. I know that Spyderco has been great at adapting designs to needs of specific demographics.... could t...

kinda off topic when you lubricate your knife (i use mineral oil since i use all of them for food quite often) would that reduce wear since it could "slide" into place a little easier? and I never figured it is too pieces of hardened steel making contact which with other objects takes fore...

oh i don't abuse tools anymore than I have too. I have never spine whacked a knife and never interned too. but i do put them up through some hard cutting tasks sometimes and I want to keep this one around for some time... not that the Para 2 model is going anywhere so worse case scenario I get mysel...

Finally got a PARA2 and I have a quick question about the compression lock

this thing is awesome I have been wanting one for some time and I finally got ahold of one. my only concern is how long will the compression lock last? will it eventually wear to the point were is is unusable? I have had liner and farm locks that wore in over the years but... I love this thing and I...
