Re: REX45 Lil' Native Alert Thread

Looks good! What is the length like compared to the wire clip? Looks like its just a little bit longer. Thanks! The Lynch clip really complements this one well I think. It’s definitely a bit longer - that little bubble at the bottom end of the stock wire clip hits about midway on that bump behind t...

Very nice. :spyder: I don't usually go for blacked out knives, but it looks great with the smooth scales. Are those from the KC Cruwear Native or...?
Thank you, yes it’s a blade swap between the KC smooth G10 Cruwear exclusive and the BHQ DLC M4 exclusive. :)

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread

Here’s a Techno 2 (the most recent Slysz model released) with a stonewashed Nirvana clip: https://i.imgur.com/mc8HV8R.jpg The choice of the satin one baffles me a bit given they have clips in a matching finish (and so might the SFO BTW ;)). I appreciate the reasoning on choosing the 3-hole clip over...

Re: Where's the kick?

Well, clearly that function of the kick is obviously unavailable too... This is also a fairly small knife, if you can’t get your finger out of the way when closing it...

And I know very well what purposes the kick serves, thanks, I have a few knives with them.

Re: Where's the kick?

Why can’t it be internal? You could certainly engineer a “reverse” kick in the frame somewhere to serve the same purpose. Pretty sure the blade isn’t slamming shut against the backspacer...

Re: Status of the Native Chief

Hi Chris, as Mike Janich mentioned, the Chief is a regular production model and I’m not even sure what possible “improvements” you were looking for given how much the Chief reflects the best of some of Golden’s capabilities - it’s super light with its linerless G10, a tremendously strong backlock an...

Re: Appeal to bring back the stunning Titanium UK Pocket Knife

I would absolutely be tempted by a new Ti UKPK with 2.5 mm blade stock and hole pattern of the new CQI’d Heinnie Hayes red G10 exclusive. The UKPK needs a sprint with a better steel period, if it was a FRN or a (blue ;)) G10 model - great, if it was Ti - even better! These are my two Ti UKPKs, I sti...

Re: Let's talk pocket wear...

:D https://i.imgur.com/lLKrH7M.jpg Clearly I have issues with pocket wear... I have a couple of pairs of Columbia pants that have an extra fabric patch stitched to the pocket seam and I actually found them a bit problematic in clipping knives with tighter/shallower clips. Definitely interested in he...

Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

The Watu is surprisingly not much smaller than the Chokwe. I don’t have my Watu yet so I can’t take a comparison pic myself, but here’s one off of KeithKevinKen’s IG page with his two: https://i.imgur.com/j1ktNMJ.jpg I honestly thought it’d be a bit smaller than that. I’m really excited about it, an...

That’s a really great story, thanks for sharing! I’m a little bit surprised you initially passed over the eBay listing without instantaneously noticing that it was your knife in the pictures. It must have struck you like a bolt of lightning when you opened the package and realized it truly was yours...

Re: Spyderco Rebrand Concept

Awesome work, love the logo! I agree very much with Darby and JR, any change to the logo that makes it look less like a tick is great in my book. While I’ve also obviously come to love the current “cute” logo, there’s huge room for improvement there and this new version is right along those lines (n...
