Re: Musing on slipjoints...

There’s actually quite the color variety of FRN UKPK scales: black, orange, dark blue, light blue, light gray, and maroon! (As you can tell, I REALLY like this model! ;))

Re: Cleaning G 10 scales?

Another vote for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! Been using those for years and they work great, I just cut a small cube or two off the main block when I need to clean a set of G10 scales. I can typically get a year’s use out of one block of it.

Re: Spyderco 2019 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

Standard clip means standard screw pattern so you have all the custom clips to choose from! Not quite, got my CC Paysan in this past week and has the same pattern as the Nirvana, which is just barely different from the standard. Most clips will fit with one screw entering slightly off center, I tri...

Re: When is the PM2 Maxamet Going To Arrive???

So do we think all of the Native LWs and Manix LWs sitting at dealers are old stock from nearly two years ago? Or are those still being cranked out?? Actually, yes I do believe they are remaining stock from one or multiple large runs of them in 2017 (or maybe early 2018). Date codes on the box will...

Re: When is the PM2 Maxamet Going To Arrive???

Always fun doing a bit of detective work for these threads... While these knives do appear in the 2019 Spyderco catalog, all but the Para 3 have appeared in previous catalogs or mid-year supplements (and sometimes not consecutively even once they've been released). Manix 2: appears in the 2017 Catal...

Re: When is the PM2 Maxamet Going To Arrive???

Maxamet versions of the lightweight Native 5 and Manix 2 and G10 versions of the PM2 and Para 3 were released quite some time ago. Best not to hold your breath for more Maxamet any time soon, and if it does, it’ll likely be a new (smaller than Military) model. You will have to make due with the seco...

Re: G10 UKPK officially makes a return! Heinnie Haynes Exclusive

The model was made in the Golden factory. If they sold out of what they ordered, assuming they re-order, the new run would have to be scheduled. sal from the Q&A part of the HH UKPK website: Q: Will this knife be discontinued soon? I want to wait until I have more money to buy it, like a responsibl...

Re: Collectors numbers?

I love how this exact topic comes up every six months or so. As usual, the only ones who like CC numbers are CC members, everyone else hates them. I can’t help but feel that’s directly linked to one’s ability to afford Spyderco’s new knives at a rate close to how quickly they are released. That’s no...

Re: Spyderco Unification : Spyderco CQI Military and Spyderco Paramilitary 2

The standoffs are indeed interchangeable. I purchased custom standoffs for the CQI’d Militaries and those standoffs also work identically for the PM2 and Para 3. Lanyard tubes are also exactly the same. The recent CQI of the Military did indeed unify most of the hardware in that family. Hope that h...

Re: Spyderco Unification : Spyderco CQI Military and Spyderco Paramilitary 2

Not sure what you’re talking about, there’s absolutely no bending of scales or liners. I’m a CC member with hundreds of Spydies, and over six years of modding them. But whatever, “carry on” and believe whatever you want.

Re: G10 UKPK officially makes a return! Heinnie Haynes Exclusive

Can Sal or anyone else at Spyderco comment on whether there will be Collectors Club versions of these? I truly hope so, and it’d be very odd if they didn’t run the CCs (like the SS Kopa). I have CC versions of the other UK knife forums’ offerings. Thanks! Radioactive :) Guess I had to answer my own...

It used to be spyderbugs till a gutless POS on Bladeforums got it taken down Uggh, I hated to be involved in that thread (responding to that person), and really hate how it turned out. :( I was a customer of hers for years and many of my deep treasures came from that source.
