I would not call that a "crack" per say, I would call that a chip! If you were to drop say, Titanium, you would have a gouge... ;)

Got an M4 Manix today. It also has a sweeeet Krein regrind. Absolutely effortless cutter. I'm seriously impressed. Just compare the thickness of the bevel between these 2, both are at about 28 deg incl. http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/gg548/hansjkruger/Mobile%20Uploads/20140716_191524_zps42161f...

I have been wanting to try a "one arm" version with a cut out to allow opening against a pocket. Similar to the older razor style blade spines found on some traditionals like I have posted below. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-VUFMHzf727s/U8Z7Js9EznI/AAAAAAAAQWg/-IxngILs-qo/w599-h337-...

It looks as if it is simply held in place by holes in the steel liners...wow, that is very interesting, please tell us more. :)

If you need to strip wires or cable it might be handy. The bits are held in place on the handle with a magnet, I think Victorinox probably has a more practical product. I buy Opinels because they are inexpensive, use quality steel and the blades are so thin. This version I confess, holds no interest...

I have to say that I'm pretty shocked that the Yo2 is still available. Me too, I think that the combination of being a sort of niche knife and the 230.00 price tag has slowed sales. If this offering was at 180.00 or so perhaps they would all be sold. We would be seeing them on E-bay for 230.00 or m...

Thanks Michael, I have always admired this design and the G-10 version was on my short list. When I saw this one and priced at 125.00, I had to have it.

75mm Persian

So, my wife and I just got back from one of our little weekend trips; this time we went to the Black Hills of South Dakota. We stopped in at a little Knife shop in Custer and they had a whole case full of Spydies. I picked this one! http://i1304.photobucket.com/albums/s534/nemarchant/Persian2_zpsa5f...

600 grit silicon carbide paper, then 1500 grit paper, then grey buffing compound, then green buffing compound...lots of elbow grease..then shiny!
