i have a cara cara 2 and it is great. buy which ever one you like best. i would not get the stainless handle, it scratches easy and is a lot heavier. that is your choice though.

I have both and like both. I like the lansky to put a mirror polish on the edge or to fix any edge issues. I like the sharpmaker for quick touch ups and daily sharpening.

I would just either buy a knife with a wave or use the zip tie instead of grinding it up and ruining the looks of the knife with a hack job.
