This is my first Japanese spyderco and I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but I have yet to see this on any of my knives from Italy, America, or even China.

It could be but it's just such a perfect half circle/line, it made me think that it was something, I'll try to clean the pivot screw and see how it goes.

What would a black mark about a half circle going around on the screw but not the knife be. I haven't tried to rub it off, it just looks bad and would like an all shiny pivot screw.. Just curios as to what it could be and how to fix this cosmetic issue.

I ordered yesterday and today it was sent, happy I found this knife seller.
