Maybe? but i have no clue.. That sounds pretty normal though, and my native 5 doesn't have anything like that, it's completely smooth around the edges of the liner.

yeah right before you posted oddly enough i decided to put it in a bowl with soap and water and i opened it under water plenty of times...

It is better / smoother then ever now.. i'm still learning!

i have a spyderco native 5 lockback i can't for the life of me seem to get smooth, it seems to even get more gritty the more i open it instead of more smooth, then i let the knife rest and pick it up again later and it almost seems less gritty once i stop using it for a bit, but as i pick the knife ...
