Re: SPK Lamia colab

Like the other Taichung titanium framelock knives, I think CPM-S90V would be a well received steel on the Lamia. That said, I think Vanax would suit it best; but I also know that Spyderco has yet to use this incredible steel.

Re: SPK Lamia colab

Hi Alex, if this collab ever materializes in the far, far future, please kindly make the clips ambidextrous...thanks! From all lefties out there. 😉 I like to be inclusive but man I really feel like left-handed clip mounting holes have spoiled the aesthetics of a ton of otherwise perfect knives, sim...

Will the features that make the Lamia special translate into the production side?
Genuinely curious, what do you consider those features to be,

Re: SPK Lamia colab

A collaboration between Spyderco and Steingraber Performance Knives (SPK) seems like a perfect match. Many makers these days produce scores of different models without refining or perfecting a single one. Alex seems to not only seek perfection but actively pursues different steels and processes to r...

Re: Vanax PM2 Lets Do This!!!

From what I can surmise, a few people willing to pay $300+ for a knife does not outweigh the production, shipping, and marketing costs of Spyderco. If it were any other manufacturer I would agree but this is Spyderco. The company currently making the Pochi. The company that made the Dodo, the Szabo...

Re: Vanax PM2 Lets Do This!!!

Vanax, in my experience with my Shirogorov F95, has edge retention superior to LC200N and equal corrosion resistance. Pretty much the ideal steel for sweaty or moist pockets. As someone that has spent time deployed in and around Guam (among other wet and salty places), Vanax has proven itself in rea...

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

Anyone know when it might hit the Spyderco website?

I'd love to take advantage of my OpFocus discount and bring one of these tough Shamans on my upcoming deployment.

Re: Nirvana has dropped!

In all honesty, will anyone actually carry and use this knife? I just received mine this afternoon and I plan on carrying and using it. Granted, I have a number of other quality knives so I won't be carrying it every day of the week. The Nirvana is basically all stonewashed, so unless you drop it o...

I find the Szabo to be visually stunning but I just couldn't get used to it. After fondling it for a while I came to my senses and realized I'd never use it for its intended purpose and wouldn't feel right using it as a utility knife. Not to mention that the compression lock kept pinching my hand wh...

Dragonfly ZDP-189 Blade Compatible with G10 Dragonfly Handle?

Howdy, The title pretty much says it all. I've been using my ZDP-189 Dragonfly at work on a daily basis and I love the cutting ability and edge retention of the blade steel but I don't love the FRN handle. I was thinking about purchasing a G10 Dragonfly (and possibly another ZDP-189) and swapping th...

First Post/Just got a CTS-XHP Mule

Ahoy! Just thought I'd make my first post after quite a bit of lurking. I also just got a CTS-XHP Mule with scales and sheath in the mail last week. I'll post pics later. At any rate, Spyderco has always been the first on my list for knife makers. My first decent knife was a Spyderco Ladybug, fully ...
