Re: Sage 5 in REX 121 + burnt orange

I assume the price tag is because the steel is so difficult to work with, but man that's a hard sell.

Very hard and time consuming to grind and another factor that's sometimes forgotten is that that the foundry most likely charges Spyderco a hefty sum for a exotic steel like Rex 121..everything ...

Re: Military is back in stock!

Best knife in the Spyderco catalog IMO!

My favorite version of the Military is the Knifeworks exclusive. It was Carbon Fiber and Titanium with a Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism and S90V blade. I love the R.I.L. on the Military.

Re: Is MAP pricing % changing come 2022?

Spyderco knives were recommended for everyone who needed a tool. Now they are expensive toys for enthusiasts.

It's definitely hard to recommend to the average guy who just bought a well stocked tool kit for under $200 that they should buy a PM2 for the same price. It's an enthusiast market ...

Re: As a fan, it's sad Spyderco isn't adressing the slysz bowie problem.

At least with Spyderco, there's a chance for it to come back (good luck with other manufacturers, I'd still love to get some early 2000s Benchmades, but that's definitely not happening)

I have no problem with any knives being brought back but if that's going to get done then ANY knife that now ...

"misfortune."
Misfortune definition: Bad Luck. Not sure huge taxes imposed by your own governments qualifies as "misfortune" or Bad Luck.

You guys in the States shouldn't really complain.
And you overseas guys shouldn't complain.

A lot of the cost of goods for you guys come from your own governments taxes. Gasoline is a good example of that.
