Re: Native Scout?

Next to the Native 5, the Manix 2 is my favorite platform, though I wish it was less of a pocket hog. So yeah, I'd be in for a 3.5 inch Native. native5_manix2_nativechief_01.jpg I had just commented in another thread that I wish Spyderco made a backlock Manix in a Salt version with a thinner blade....

Re: Is this the knife everyone clamors for?

If Spyderco made this knife with a little thinner blade stock and a Salt version (Magnacut blade, backlock, etc) then it truly would be my one-and-done knife. It would kick my CRKs out of the rotation and the collection.

Looks like brass inserts on the salt.
They do. Looking up the corrosion properties of brass and it’s negligible amount of iron, it would make sense

Re: Spyderco Native Salt Magnacut Scale Construction vs Non Salt

Hello, I just purchased and received a Spyderco Native Salt in Magnacut and a Spyderco Native 5 Lightweight in SPY27. I purchased both as the N5LW is one of my favorite EDC knives. I am excited to try Spyderco's treatment of Magnacut (I already have CRKs in Magnacut). The reason I bought both is a ...

Re: Stretch XL discussion

So I will give you my thoughts on the knife so far having owned it for a little over a month (please note I consider the Endura 4 and Spyerco Military to be in the top 5 greatest knives ever produced)... LEADING UP TO ORDERING: My favorite lock on a pocket knife is the backlock (I wish Spyerco would...

Re: On knife design and the virtue of usability

This post is perhaps one of the greatest posts I have ever read on a knife related forum. I couldn’t agree with the topic more and this is why above all else I always come back to Spyderco. Give me an Endura or Delica and it is really all the knife I would ever need in my life. I will enjoy reading ...

Re: On knife design and the virtue of usability

I recently bought a high-end production knife from another brand, and it reminded me of this topic because I indeed found it awkward to use for the first few days. I had to watch some videos of folks deploying it, and I found out that said knife used to come with an instruction sheet for how to ope...

Re: Coming back to the plain Delica 4 after experiencing the entire lineup

I couldn't agree more with this thread. I currently have the GITD Delica sitting to my left as I type this post. Over the years I have run the full gambit of almost every production knife brand out there. For me, Spyderco, Cold Steel and CRK were the three brands I liked the most (in that order). I ...

Re: Sal, Native 5 Trainer?

I would instantly buy a Native 5 trainer. I have a Delica and a Delica trainer but I prefer the Lightweight Native 5 for carry and always thought it would make a great self-defense knife in a pinch. I hope Spyderco comes through on this.

Re: Interest for Cruwear Micarta Manix Backlock?

A Manix backlock with Cruwear and Micarta would be my absolute dream knife. I bought the Manix 2 backlock when it came out and it was such a phenomenal knife. I lost it during work after it was discontinued and if never has resurfaced (saddest knife parting I have ever had). I only carry Spyderco Ba...

Re: M390 Delica Blue FRN Bento Box Shop Exclusive

I have four (4) incoming. This has been such a grail of mine for years, and with me sleeping on the s30v Delica, I just couldn't take the chance. Four should last me a lifetime and they can be passed on.

Re: Endela-thread

I have one that will be delivered here tomorrow. I see a few dealers have the fully serrated edge in stock but I happened to stumble upon one dealer that had the plain edge (no longer in stock). I thought it was honestly a mistake on the dealers part and the in-stock was confused with the serrated e...

Bump to see if there is anymore news on this fantastic mod. I know other knife dealers offer mods to Spyderco but no one in my opinion can quite get it close to or near Mr. Janich's profile

Re: Why Didn't You Buy A Manix 2 Back Lock?

I bought one and will likely pick up another before they are all gone. Honestly, I think it is one of Spyderco's best knives ever made. If it had FRN scales and recessed liners like the Endura, it would likely be the best Spyderco of all time in my book.

Re: Who else is excited about the FRN Sage that Spyderco plans to make?

I for one am extremely excited! FRN is my favorite handle material. I would take it over G10 any day of the week. I really hope it is a backlock but I highly doubt it as there is already the Sage 4 with that lock.

What a small world. I just checked the website out last night to see if any were in stock as I would like to buy a couple for myself and relatives. Will there be any other way of purchasing them other than Facebook? I don't have one and really would loathe signing up for it. Either way glad to hear ...
