Nishijin is my favorite handle material aesthetically, no traction though. I wonder if the surface can be textured without distorting the view. This might be the best looking Spyderco imo, the Stretch defiantly grows on you.

Can't get your thumb on top the blade with a wave. They are fastest for sure, I never had a problem with zip ties though.

Defiantly a good idea, however it seem like a particularly difficult design to modernize.

I have always been a big fan of more blade, but have come to favor the choil. On the other hand, when im not using the choil it bugs me being far from the edge. A lot less leverage and precision from there. I find with the Manix 2 or PM2 style choil I opt to use it more often than say the Stretch. I...

I have to say 3mm is a good compromise, thickness behind the edge is ultimately why I regrind.

Perhaps white frosted scales and black blade/hardware.

Manix 2 translucent, the pm2 seemed to weight about what the Military does. I prefer the thinner blade stock and thinner behind the edge Manix blade.

I just wish it was S30v. G10 would add weight and cost, would it add strength too?

Good to hear your experience, lock back's are my favorite. I had a CS Rajah 2 fail once chopping, despite loctite the pivot loosened causing the lock to fail. Im not sure if I could have released it by accident, but the lock had almost no tension so it could have disengaged during an impact. Anyway,...

I had a similar thought recently after seeing CRKT's new line. I would love to see something lighter weight with better ergonomics and steel. They do have an attractive blade shape, or a reverse tanto like the bm940 would do as well.

Im a big fan of the latest and greatest steels. Sense I sharpen with power equipment, I can get great edge retention without longer sharpening. The blade also lasts longer.
