Same logic (for me - and I suspect most) It's the knife, not the country.

In my case, the CF Balance. I just love that little knife. Cuts WAY above it's weight class.

Have a CF Balance in my pocket right now! Love that little knife.

Blade show was great this year for sure. Sal and Eric were very accommodating and seemed to enjoy sharing all the new stuff with us. While I was talking with Sal, the owners of the foundry that produces VG-10 and ZDP-189 came up and had a conversation with Sal. Strange part was that Sal included me ...

My salt use case is for sweat. I carry a knife in my waistband a good bit, and when working outside in the summer heat here in the southeast it will get drenched in sweat. With a salt series knife I don't have to bother with cleaning it up when I am done with my outside work. Also carry when working...

My new green para 2 is so stiff that you can feel the blade 'stuttering' or binding as it opens. When depressing the lock the blade does not move at all, even when shaken vigorously. The pivot screw is so tight that I can budge it with the small torx driver that I have at work, just not enough handl...

How about H1 Stretch with yellow G10 or FRN and black coated blade. Many might find it fugly, but I think that it would look cool.

My 2013 Native forum knife has the v shape bug logo mouth, bought it directly from Spyderco. Some of the other makers may have a different bug.

I am sure that you will have a bunch off offers to take the knife off of your hands since you are having so much trouble with it. My sharpening skills are way below yours, so I am not going to be much help this time.

Still putting off getting a set of the diamond stones to re-profile a couple of knives, just too many ...

For some reason I like the Chubby even though I don't normally like short stubby blade designs. Not sure that I could tell the wife that I got a chubby from Spyderco though, she thinks I have a knife problem as it is.

To me the sad part is that Spyderco has a wide range of products at all price points. There is a Spyderco knife out there for everyone, and the great Byrd line as well. No need to buy an unknown quality fake.
