Re: 10" sharpening grinder - Tormek vs Mastercraft vs other solution
Thanks JD and arty. Think I'll be going with the tormek to avoid trouble I could get with the lesser brand. As for belt sander, I wouldn't ever put of of my knives on them to avoid overheating, even less use that to regrind of of them. I might also try to get a good kit of diamond stone soon. Any in...

10" sharpening grinder - Tormek vs Mastercraft vs other solution
Hello all. I have left the forum for a while since work has gotten most of my time for the last 2 years. I also never have been the best sharpener and giving my edge a mirror finish is something I like but don't have the time anymore. I sometime even skip giving my edge a basic sharpening since my p...

Re: K2 Full Review - A week after
Hello all! I've been away from the forum for a long time, close to 2 years I guess. Had various other things taking up my spare time. Today I was speaking to a friend about my K2 and it got me thinking I had left a review for the knife and that I could do a quick update. Can't say I have hours to wr...

Re: If you could only keep three...
Well considering I'd want to cover all my cutting needs with 3 but simply can't stand fixed on me, only in kitchen, here would be my choices. 1 - SB ladybug That thing never leaves me and I can get it out of my pocket almost anywhere. I was trimming my nail at school waitig for my boys last week whe...

Re: K2 vs. Lionspy, who wins?
Seriously this thing about handle isn't that bad as people seems to think. Unless you plan to do hours straight of hard cutting in a row with no gloves at all, in a pace like you were watched over by a boss holding a whip, it doesn't hurt. Yup it doesn't feel like a delicate tool made from the mold ...

Can't say anything positive/negative about the lionspy that would be from my experience so I'll let other discuss it. Re: Justice for the Spyderedge
... Spyderco's product is so good that up till this day there hasn't been a premium commercial company compete with them. I have an appreciation for Sal's work, but it seems more than a little unreasonable to note that there is no one else making serrated blades which are simply not junk. I don't s...

Re: If you could only carry one?
I'd say ZDP or SB Ladybug because there's so many place I can't take out my Endura or K2 knowing the kind of reaction I could get. Yeah imagine myself trimming my nails with the Endura while waiting in line to pay for my order at Future Shop ... Ladybug never leaved me since I got my firs...

Be prepared for it to be scratched this way around the pivot area. Any kind of dust that set itself in there is enough to scratch that 420J1. I wished they were solid superblue... :)

Re: Awesome new Spydie! What took me so long??
At 250', a simple plain 5/8" nut dropped would be almost as dangerous as a knife. In fact, any item you drop become deadly. Don't get me wrong, this feature could be useful to avoid accident, but my friend showed me the picture of a spanner which fell from 100' and stuck itself about 8" in...

I read review of people using it on auto rifle and flashlight and none had issue. I'm not the owner of the company and this isn't personnal experience but I'd say o-ring safe.

Re: Nano oil 85w is the best IMO
Costly when you consider their trademark was revoked but they still claim their name to be trademarked. Then we have to consider many review of people saying it's doing an ok job but not better then the rest. Then we also have many review saying it's amongst the best. I guess it's a premium to pay f...
