Re: Sharpening forum

You are "retracting" your claims of a conspiracy, since even after hinting that you think it's due to Cliff generating traffic, you don't want to actually claim it.

Do you post here to impress others?

Re: Sharpening forum

After posting examples of personal attacks against Cliff, I decided, the best I can do is flag these. Which I did, and removed my post.

After that came the claims of conspiracy and collusion from you and another poster. (Or were you actually curious about the weather in all of Canada? I suppose I ...

Re: Sharpening forum

What agenda? I do not know if any. Just that he has in one way or another turned off a bunch of otherwise calm guys on this forum.

... And what is yours? What's your motivation?

You have used the word "conspiracy", which along with "agenda" has been used many times by forum members in regards ...

Re: Sharpening forum

Cliff does have a forum dedicated to sharpening, testing, and himself...

How about the back benchers who log on for Spyderco get their forum back and the front benchers go and add traffic to his site. Why is Cliff compelled to be so prolific in a private company's forum where there can be ...

Re: Sharpening forum

If "sharpening forum" is code for "Cliff is a prolific and divisive poster and we hope to cut down on some of the complaints about him by shielding him from the general population": I just want to note that of late, Cliff seems to have been on a sharpening kick (as always, but particularly with ...

Re: A change in tone

Jumbo your reply to my reply now lacks content because you deleted your original tasteless post calling out members by name and biasly defending Cliff with no regard to the actual matters of concern ... So it ends there.
Since you were apparently one of two people who saw my original post (the ...

Re: A change in tone

The "cutting fruit" thing was a joke, my friends. It's what I use my knives for, as do others, judging from plenty of reviews. The point being take a step back and laugh at what we're actually talking about here.

More seriously, anyone who wants to use the word "conspiracy", "agenda", really needs ...

Re: A change in tone

I guess it takes an adult to sometimes let things go. The point of this entire thread lost on the people who constantly try to prove how smart they are.

Maybe FCM isn't getting his point across as effectively as he would like but I get the impression that there is an underlying agenda being ...

Re: A change in tone

This conspiracy doesn't work very well if you go telling people about it.
Well, shoot.

It's so embarrassing to have my cover blown. I just have to confess, I have a similar admiration for Sal, which is similarly unjustified. It has nothing to do with the fact he makes great knives and knows how ...

Re: A change in tone

Are you by any chance the same "Jumbo" that contributes on Mr. Stamp's forum?... And how's the weather in Canada by the way?

As the official spokesman for all of Canada (until Mike's turn next week): the weather is great, my friend! Cliff hollered over the fence there was some grumbling online I ...

The ergonomics of the SS kiwi are my favourite of any Spyderco I've handled.

Removing the hump, G-10, and ambidextrous lock push the Kiwi4 to the top of my wishlist.

I would have said BRG too. Between camera, lighting, and the display used to view a picture, apparent colour can vary quite a bit. Would need the comparison pics you mentioned in your post.

*edited to add: as well, from previous posts on this forum, it sounds like FRN colours can vary between ...

In the order I bought, and in turn, sold them:
1. ZDP Stretch. Too big, hated the colour.
2. Super Blue Caly 3. REALLY wanted to love this one. Ergos always bothered me.
3. PM2. As a lefty, just found the compression lock was wrong for me.

Slowly came to accept I'm a smaller-knife kind of guy. Love ...

As someone just PM'ed me, Cliff seems to be trying to incite something.

I think Cliff's goals are spelled out quite clearly, and are admirable. A big one being to discuss the performance of knives as cutting tools.

Just think about if your knife should have lower performance than a $5 420J2 ...

I love my G-10 dragonfly. I also LOVE my $25 douk-douk. I've ended up exchanging or selling a lot of knives to find the "right one" (always looking). Good luck and enjoy!
