How much flex is there in these blades?
It kind of reminds me of an Emerson Persian
I wonder at it's potential against soft body armor. :')
Quite a bit — reminds me of most filet knives I’ve handled.

Fresh from SFO, I had the S2XL in my pocket today and thought the size comparison apt. Hitting the road for work the next 7 days but hopefully I’ll find time to test it’s name when I get a day off.

Re: Is this the knife everyone clamors for?

I’ve given my dad a few Spydercos, including this one, and he uses it for work. He’s 66 y/o now and his construction business over the years has included residential finishing work like carpet, sheet rock, garage doors, door knobs, closet organizers, mirrors, bath fixtures, but nowadays he focuses o...

https://i.imgur.com/EA09Bbm.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/kB2PAel.jpeg Fresh off the press and direct from SFO! Don’t think I’ve ever received a knife the same month it was built. What a knife, mine is flawless. Just an early observation on the handle: despite carrying the aggressively textured G10 Sire...

Re: Military 2 CF s90v sprint run

I've missed just about every sprint run I've been interested in. Either it released while I was sleeping or at work. Does anyone know when this milli 2 sprint run will drop? I have 5 pages to sites that will have it once it drops open and the knife in my wishlist on all 5 pages. Any recommendations...

Kinda hard to see in pictures, but I had John at BGM thin out a Siren for me. He did real nice work and fast to boot. Bye-bye makers marks — it’s a slicing machine now.

Re: k390 serrated discontinued?

No problem with SE k390 here either. The discounts on the discontinued are so good I ended up with one of each and two Police. It takes time to reprofile, so far I’ve only completed a Delica, but it’s so nice. I'm *thiiiiiis* close to grabbing a second serrated police. So good See if this can push ...

Re: Upping the price.

Great point on the relative price factor of aftermarket clips. It isn't just the price but also extra steps and time spent; something ready for you versus a "project knife". For me, Spyderco's deep-carry wire clip is good to go but otherwise, I've got to think about all of that (plus the ...

I would love one too but it’s a difficult market for Spyderco to be competitive in.
The fact I can get an 18” Tramontina WITH sheath for $20 from Lowe’s supports this statement.

Re: Police PIG

Using the eBay “sold” search, I found one that fetched $950 4 days ago. It’s going to be quite the niche market for a collectors piece 35 year old knife in that price range. That seems like an exceptional price but depending on condition, it still comes down to whatever someone’s willing to pay.
