Mmm.. the Lum Tanto sprint is certainly a grail for me. I'll also echo CF Dodo, damascus Caly 3 and those CF & S90V sprints. Also the XHP and M4 Manixes

Really, it's not a big deal to me, but on sleeker and "classier" knives like my Calypso sprint run, I MUCH prefer pinned construction. I've only had to take apart one Spyderco (and that was an accident when applying threadlocker.. oy) and the good looks of a knife such as the Calypso would...

I think it just takes some time to get used to it and develop the muscle memory for it. When other people try and actuate the lock on my M2, they find it really difficult and stiff... it's quite easy and smooth for me, although if I don't carry it for a while it does feel a bit harder. Once you get ...

Okay, while I'm not crazy about Ole' Nutn, I can spare a kind word for him. I feel like he would be a genuinely nice person to meet and talk to at length. He may have an ego, but he seems like he's a nice enough sort. Say what you will about his reviews, and I HAVE, but I feel that genuine niceness...

I love my Manix 2 LW, FWIW. I've been nothing but impressed with BD1. Sharpens easily, holds an edge very well for my purposes, and hasn't stained at all with pretty minimal upkeep. Absolutely love the lock and the comfort of the volcano grip'd FRN handles. Perfectly balanced, disappears in the pock...

Man, JD, you've succeeded in elevating the SpyderEdge to a sort of mythic, religious status in my mind after reading all of this (and running across your posts elsewhere in the forum). You really are the serration Messiah, hah! I kid, but -- seriously, I guess after reading through this now >4year o...

Ah, not to sound antisocial -- but I couldn't care less about the opinion of someone silly enough to be offended by the idea of carrying a knife. That said, I'll agree with many others that most people who WILL be offended, will be LESS offended by pretty much anything that isn't black and tacti-evi...

Thanks a lot for the chance, man! Been meaning to FINALLY add a Delica to the lineup. So, yeah -- primary cutting tasks. Well, lots of food prep lately, and I've been using my carbon steel Opinel for that. Outside of eating, it would be -- letter/package opening, string cutting, uhm... anything and ...

She forgot to cut out the spydie hole so you could flick the card open! Just kidding....that thing is pretty awesome. Its so simple yet creative. How about when Jake Gyllenhaal pulls out a partial serrated Smith and Wesson Extreme Ops and calls it a "Spyderco tactical knife" in End of Watch? Massive eye rolls... came just after he waves a Glock 22 in front of the camera and calls it a "Glock 19" (despite the 22 being a mor...
