As I figured, it sounds like the Chap 3 is going to be make in limited quantities to cater to aficionados. Which is wonderful to me! Spyderco's variety and ability to cater to so many audiences is one of their strongest qualities.

Thoughts on the C-44 Dyad?

So, the new Dyad sprint run is slated to come out sometime this year. I know this is a very classic model, but, like the knife world in general, it is new to me. However, I can't quite decide how I feel about it. On the one hand, I appreciate its obvious versatility, its portmanteau of traditional a...

Yeah, I can imagine that the intricate machining of all that Ti is pretty darn expensive, but even if they dropped the price $100 this one just isn't doing it for me... Really, I'm a little surprised that they're making it -- I'm assuming this will be produced in pretty limited quantities; justified...

Wait, wait, $362 for the new Chaparral?! I figured all that intricate Ti machining was pretty gratuitous but... that must be a misprint; I can't imagine the knife would even be green-lit if it really is that expensive.

Has there ever been a Spydie to retail that high?

Ah, nice. Yeah, I've got the original. I love it dearly, but do wonder if I might love it more a bit lighter.

Was this on a first-production GB with unskeletonized liners, or did you further skeletonize the latter version?

Is the Szabo actually unpleasant to open? I do not flick my knives and honestly prefer the slower, more refined opening of the washerless Moki made Spydercos. Based on this, would anyone with first-hand experience think the Szabo would be a bad match? Tough question I know, but I'm feeling like the ...

Dyad is $178.95 on preorder at Knife center. I have already ordered it. I would be a liar and hypocrite if I did not. I have a original C44 and have been begging for a second release for years. Maybe there will be plenty of left overs. If you really want one, I would get on the list now. I plan to ...

Yeah, the Rock seems a bit too large to me for an EDC belt carry. Maybe the Street Beat or a Moran?

Oyyy, yes. I've only really been into knives and such for coming up on 2 years, and there's obviously a LOT of sprints/models that I've missed out on. It's pretty sad!

I had one AO knife... Not for me. Gets gummed up, and I hate the tension you have to overcome to close the knife.
Overall, a useless feature IMO. I never have to open a knife that quickly, and even still, it's not much quicker or easier than with a Spyderhole.

Well, the CF Dodo is probably the most gorgeous Dodo sprint yet... regrettably I just can't pick one up at the moment. I did get the brown Calypso, however, and it is one outstanding knife.
