Re: Spydercomb?

I know it was an incredibly successful April fools joke this past year...it got me good. I had my credit card out and everything.

The Lum Tanto is one of my favorite knives of all, such that I don't use it enough. However, I have used to for some tasks like cracking bee hives. These knives are too sweet to be safe queens entirely!

Re: Spyderco in movies and on tv

I have not been on here in a long while, but I spotted a Byrd in a strange location!

it also has some nice work done on the handle, but I have not gotten further into the video to see if there is a better angle.

Re: Computer tech question: Why this error message?

It depends on the error code mostly, as the error messages can vary more so. I would guess it is a 503 being returned, and if that correlates with remnar's comment, then that would indicate that the servers were down and possibly for maintenance. Here is a good reference for status codes in case you...

Re: What Are You Reading ?

Oh, boy! I haven't been here in a while, so I have read a variety of books. Most recently, I have read 'Kingsblood Royal' by Sinclair Lewis, which was a great book about racism in the mid '40s. Then I read 'Casino Royale' by Ian Fleming, and it was fantastic. I love the bond books, and my siblings g...

Re: Mountain Biking

Congrats on the bike! You will find it very addicting very quickly. I actually have been very little time on this forum and looking at knives in general because I got into riding again last year and got this lovely lady: http://i.imgur.com/XtKnLj0.jpg I hope you enjoy the new ride and getting out in...

Re: Spyderco Puukko

I love my Puukko, it is a great skinner knife in my experience (which is totally limited). I have to somewhat frequently clean up the brass bit on the handle as it gets tarnished and does not maintain the gorgeous shine I want on it.

Re: What Are You Reading ?

I haven't visited the forum much lately, but have read a few books. I play a dabbling of video games on console (xb1), and have been reading extended universe books for the Halo games, specifically the Forerunner Saga by Greg Bear. I really enjoyed them and it made a lot about the games, especially ...

Re: Winners of the 2016 Calendar Contest!

I have a jpg, but it is a 16mb file, so I have to sacrifice resolution to get that down. While it isnt as big a deal since mine isn't getting printed, it at least is the issue for submitting it.

Re: Fairly comprehensive list of Spyderos in movies, tv shows, etc

My wife and I recently saw one, but I can't remember exactly what show it was. I believe it was in the new season of Criminal Minds. Time to go watch some more and find out!

Also...

Welcome! And great job on compiling a fantastic list!

I definitely kept a tab open to the forum all day. I won't say how much I refreshed it, that might make me look a tid bit insane.

Re: work knife suggestions.

I carry many of my knives to work, but I would say the most appropriate and ideal for the situation is the Ti/Damascus Delica. People can appreciate its looks and design, while not being intimidated by it.

Re: Full titanium pm2

I would absolutely love this! It took me a long time to be able to get a Ti Millie, but it is amazing!

I have a PM2, but tend to go with either my G10 or Ti Millie over the PM2. A Ti version would definitely get it in my pocket more.

Re: Ask me your fitness questions

I have been sidelined with some stitches (crashed my mt bike, dont worry just a flesh wound, and it was pretty cool), and man does it suck not being able to exercise. I am at two weeks and feel the lag in energy and motivation! Normally I ride the 4 miles each way to work 3-4 days a week, lift at th...

Re: Where's your Sweet Spot?

FRP for the knife. For a long time I carried FLP, but realized I was always deploying the knife then immediately switching hands with it, so I reorganized my pockets to adapt to the Spydie being front right (on the outside corner of the pocket)
