It is a much bigger knife than I thought. At first glance the PM2 seems like the bigger blade but you can see the more cutting edge on the Southard. Same with the military. Color me surprised.

Where does every one get Barkeepers friend? I have never heard of that till now. I found BKF through the forums for keeping sharpening stones clean and I'll tell you what. An amazing product. I now use it all over the house. I polished the chrome on my beach cruiser. Awesome. In the grocery store r...

I sold a Manix 2 to make room for a ti Millie which I sold to fund a mountain bike. I miss the Manix 2 most. One day I'll get another. One day.

Sage 1. It is so smooth and has a satisfying click when locked into place. That knife puts a lot in a small package. Fun times. I think I need to smooth out the spyder home a tad though. That sucker does a number on my thumbnail.

Delica 4, combo blade, black coated VG-10. Then three more different knives followed within four weeks. I love Spyderco knives.

Great knife. Love the lock ball locking mechanism. Plenty of the reviews talk about it. Can't really think of a negative thing to say about this knife.

I have taken an Ultra Fine Sharpmaker stone and ran it around the corner to take a burr off. I don't think it is visible. That's a great idea. My Sage 1 reconfigured my thumb nail and after a month, its still screwed up lol. This knife has been a little bugger for me. Just sent it out to get sharpe...

So excited for this knife. I saw the call numbers for the steel and thought it was the same steel used in the light weight Manix 2. I was a little put off as I've heard that steel is good but not great. Then I researched it a bit more and realized it is CTS-XHP which is highly regarded steel. All th...

Domino up at online retailer for email notification

I have never preordered a knife and am not sure how well the online retailer email notification works. But BladeHQ has the domino in the coming soon section available for email notification for when its in stock. Just passing it along.

With some of the prototype and upcoming releases, do you expect any date announcements/preorders before the Amsterdam show in March?

How to prepare for Ti PM2 and Domino?

I am pretty excited about these two knives. So much so that I'd like to get them when they first come out. Being newish to the knife community, what is the best way to find out about a new knife's availability/pre-orde/purchase? Thanks, Matt

The Domino prototype was one of my favorites. The flipper-action was really smooth and the opening hole was better to use than on the Southard for example. The profile reminds me of the Manix; it is about the same size and has the same great ergonomics. This one is definitely on my wishlist. Note t...

I have been a serious Manix 2 fan since the g-10 version was released. The blue one has been my EDC since it first came out, only to be replaced last week by the black lightweight. BD1 is a surprisingly good steel and the knife is surprisingly strong for having no liners. It can't do everything a r...

I had the same experience as you. I knew the ti Millie would be heavy, but I was expecting quick action after a few days. It never came. I ordered nano oil from Amazon and lubed up the detent ball, the knife is awesome now. It flicks open quick with a very satisfying click when locked.

Sweet knife. So how do these compare in size and smoothness to the paramilitary 2? It's just a bit bigger all the way around. Someone/somewhere are so great comparison pics. I wanted to comment on the smoothness. I have the ti military and it wasn't that smooth for me. I used some nano oil on the p...
