I've owned 5 from that list & voted for the Para2. It's the quintessential Spyderco EDC knife IMO.

2 frame lock (RIL)
2 lock backs (unless you count byrd knives as well, then add 3 more)
1 comp lock
1 caged BB lock

I used to have many more comp locks (ie, Para2s), but sold off all but one. Clearly I need to regenerate my Spydie inventory. :)

Sorry to hear about your needing an MRI. Bummer.

IRT which knife...you chose well. The Domino is about the best all around EDC from Spyderco I have owned. Great knife. Sure hope you don't have to sell the Forum knife.

CF Stretch is a GREAT knife...you are justified in wanting one. I found one (a user) on BF a few weeks ago. Just be diligent in your search (& maybe be willing to buy a user instead of NIB).

The M2is a great knife. I would say its my favorite Spydie right now! Love the way it feels in the hand...amazing ergos!!!! The BB lock just needs to break in a bit. Keep playing with it and it'll get easier & you'll be a master of it in no time! I want to get the all-black version in S30V mysel...

Well, put me in the pro-G10/anti-FRN camp. Love the way good G10 looks & feels. Don't much care for the way even good FRN looks or feels. I tolerate it on my Ladybug3 Hawkbill Salt because I have no choice & I just dig that little knife. But if they made it in G10 I'd have that instead. I ha...

I am a big fan of G10 (and jimping :) ), so different strokes... no need for the OP to worry about expressing his opinion. We all have those things we like and don't like. If we didn't differ there would only ever be one model of Spyderco (or knives in general)... and how boring would that be???? LO...

I own a Chaparral...love it! Perfect small(ish) knife.

I have held and fondled a Native5...just didn't do it for me.

Never held a Sage1, but it also doesn't have much draw for me.

So I guess I vote Chappy! :)

walked into my lgs (local gun shop) today and noticed a atr ti sitting in one of the cases in lnib condition, with the original box. I wouldn't leave any knives behind... I'd just grab my Pelican case and go. Now, if I could only grab enough to carry on my person it'd by one of the Para2s (probably one of the digicam/DLC models), the Manix2, the Chaparral and the Dragonfly2 G10. I should be able to carry all those fairly easily! ...

To the OP's original point... I would like to see more SW blades too. My Manix2 has a mild SW which is nice. Wouldn't mind if it was a bit more SW'd though. A SW Para2 would be VERY nice.... :)

I am hardly a steel snob. I have plenty of 8Cr13MoV bladed knives that's function very well. But, if I am going to pay good money ($100+ to me) for a knife then I want the a blade steel commensurate with the price tag. That said, frankly I am very, very well pleased with the performance I get out of...
