Bussbait... Cool and nice looking mod to the Victorinox!! I have a Ranger that I'm putting new scales on myself.. I'm using a ghost green G11 material.. I still need to inlet for the tweezers and toothpick and I may even mill a small area out that I can use to fit and transplant the guts from an ...

I don't really have a ton of EDC categories.

1. Around the house knife - Something light enough to be worn with sweatpants. Something that has a positive method of holding the blade closed, as I'm always rolling around on the floor with my daughter and my dog. Almost always the Caly3.

2. Work ...

Buzzbait, do you do those custom scales for other people?

I'm afraid not. They take forever and a day to make. Tons of hand fitting. Realistically, about 10 hours work from start to finish. I usually do a couple of knives, and then swear that I'll never do another for as long as I live. My last ...

I love Victorinox SAK's. I pretty much always have one with me when I'm outdoors. The tools are incredibly stainless and very easy to sharpen, and the saws are a dream come true when you need them.

I'd love to see Spyderco do an outdoor model folder. Something like a Dyad, but with a plain edge ...

I absolutely love the orange Military. Then again, I'm an avid outdoorsman. Late nights of night fishing have made me appreciate orange colored gear.

I've never had a problem with the color orange.

Excellent pics Buzz. That reminds me a lot of the orange background that is in your avatar. That was a Paramilitary in your Avatar right?

Yep, that's my Para. Awesome knife.

I just got in a sheet of orange G-10 to play with. With a bit of luck, I'll have an orange handled Swiss Army Knife to ...

Orange Millie

I just got the orange Millie today, along with a pink Delica for the wife. The Camo Millie is a few weeks old, but shows a very interesting contrast in visibility with the Orange Millie. One Millie is designed not to be found. The other can't help but be seen!!!!

S90V would be interesting. M2 or maybe M4 would be even nicer.

I agree. The ZDP seems to burr very little, which makes it an easy sharpen with the proper instruments.

It's been 3 years. I could have sharpened the chip out using only a wad of chewing gum in this amount of time. :p :p :p

Hmmmm...... It sounds like I'm going to have to make changes to my everyday dress of jeans and a t-shirt. The women are going to praise Spyderco for H1!!!!!

I bought my first tactical folder back around 2000 or 2001, and have bought probably a hundred folders since then. That first tactical was a Spyderco Military. I have a Millie in my pocket today. I have no idea why I bothered to buy the hundreds of other folders.

I Lost A Thread.....

Am I finally losing or mind, or was there a thread here today, on the unusual height of certain pocket clips? If there is such a thread, and you have the Power of Greyskull , please post this picture in that thread. The pic does a nice job of showing the difference in space between the clip and the ...

I know exactly what David is talking about. I have the same clip on my Pacific Salt. The distance between the FRN and the clip itself is much smaller than your average Spyderco clip. Basically, the pocket clip sticks out from the knife much less.

I translate this to fewer snags and less scratching ...

I know I'm gonna get laughed at for this. I always liked the Toad.

I'd also like to see the full-sized Calypso make a comeback. The Police3 is just a bit too big for me.

I actually had the entire lanyard tube assembly fall out of my 440V Military, after using the butt of the handle for some light hammering. Bad move on my part. The handle was a bit less rigid afterward, but the knife still performed admirably for years afterward.

For a large folder, the Military has an awesome grip. The only thing better is a full-sized Manix. The grip on the Manix is absolute perfection.

For something smaller, I am blown away by the comfort of the Delica4. I have no idea how Spyderco was able to put so much grip into such a small folder ...

VG-10 is nice. Very stainless. The heat treatment is a little soft for me though. Definitely is not as wear resistant as S30V.

ZDP holds an amazing edge. It's like the Energizer bunny. Holds an edge like my Benchmade M2, which I regard quite highly. It is supposedly less stainless than S30V, but I ...
