For some reason (could just be an addiction) I am itching to buy the Sage 2. I already have a small Sebenza, which I LOVE. Is the Sage 2 worth it if I already have a small Seb? Is it EDC worthy over the small Seb??

How did you remove the rust? I kind of want to try an onion!

I did cut into an orange yesterday and went to clean it today after cutting a mango and there I saw the spot.

Does CTS-XHP patina?

Has anyone tried anything else to get rust off? I've read an onion works.

I was cleaning the blade on my Techno earlier after cutting some fruit and I noticed some small spots of what appeared to be rust (orange-like color) on I guess, the tang of the blade (where the Spyderco/Taichung etch is). I must of not wiped the blade as well as I should have there after ...

Mine came sealed in the plastic from Howes. It also has a darker clip than an earlier Techno I had.

I wonder if they're from different runs? All of the unboxing videos that I saw on YT showed them not sealed in the plastic. But I had one earlier that came sealed. A newer one I have came unsealed ...

It's been an adventure filled day.

I decided to use my Caly 3 SB today and I was cutting some fruit and I love the patina so far. It patinas SUPER fast. I washed the knife with some dish soap and I swear, even that gave it some patina on the tang.

I really like how these patinas look. I don't want to force mine, but once it happens naturally, what should I do to resist rust? That's what I'm really worried about.
