Re: Family friendly jokes

Last year I replaced all of the windows in my house with those expensive double-paned energy efficient kind. Last week I got a call from a guy at Home Depot who had installed them. He complained that the work had been completed a year ago and I still hadn't paid him. I might be a bit slow but I am n...

I think a nifty new take on a different lock, like a button lock or bolt lock, would be good.

Chosen? I have not seen any evidence of production. Besides, you never know when a new model variation might be considered down the line. Possibilities.

Rockjumper new blade shape?

Just for kicks, what do you all think the best shape for the upcoming new blade shape of the Rockjumper (whatever they call it) should be? Should it be like the Straight Spine Stretch or the leaf Manix/Sage shape? Personally, I prefer the straight spine. I think that modified clip is more attractive...

The drop point version is in stock at knifeworks.com and they will ship DHL to you. I know it is not in Europe, but it will cost only about $35 or so to ship to you, and maybe less.

Re: Para 3 for large hands?

The Rockjumper might be the best solution. It has more handle room than any of the Native/Delica/Para 3 knives, yet is not large.

Re: Sharpened A Coworker's Knife

Good that you were able to sharpen your co-worker's knife and make him proud of it. Maybe you will be able to teach him more things, perhaps even mod his scales for him. OldHoosier62 mentioned above showing him how to sharpen knives. You’ve mentioned about modding the scales. I’m not sure he’d be i...

Re: Para 3 for large hands?

I think the Para 3 will be too small. I normally wear XXL gloves, though there are brands where I can tightly wear XL. The P3 is too small for me. I find the Native 5 too small. For a knife in that size range I can use a Delica if I choke up high against the guard. I am thinking an Endela would be n...

Re: Sharpened A Coworker's Knife

A lot of people are terrified of sharp knives. Even if you tell them a dull knife is dangerous, takes more effort to use, etc. they will not listen. If you cut something easily with one of your own sharp knives they will inevitably remark, "Wow! That knife is really sharp!" and back away. (Although,...

Re: Family friendly jokes

A man had been stranded on a deserted island for two years when he experienced severe shaking of the ground and noticed a great tidal wave bearing down upon him. “Oh Lord, please help me,” he prayed. Suddenly, a boat appeared and a man aboard shouted to him urgently, “Quick, get on board before the ...

Re: Thank you Sal and Spyderco

As a medic and EMT I always carried a sharp knife and I am still never without one, unless going through the Marxists at the airport. I have never heard of a Thin White Line, but hey, I am all for anything that honors what we do/did. A lot of people are alive because of us.

Re: Most Underestimated Steel.

BD1N comes to mind. For me it performs a lot better in edge retention than it "should" according to objective tests, even Larrins. And it is a dream to sharpen, even better than VG10 in that regard for me. Both how quickly it goes and how sharp the steel gets. I was surprised when I found out that ...

Re: Let’s make Spyderco haikus

Haikus are traditionally lines 5 syllables, 7 syllables, and then 5 syllables. It takes some thought for sure. The middle line is always longest. They are meant to be pondered. For example, a haiku about autumn woods would leave you thinking about the colors, the smells, the beauty, perhaps the anim...

This is the Police 4 I have been waiting for. Fantastic. Same here. Great knife in one of my favorite steels and now we will be able to get it with teeth! Definitely looking forward to this one! Very exciting. I do not need this knife, but I want this knife. Was this ever any different as soon as y...
