Re: What's Cookin'?
Love chicken and dumplings @Doc Dan! My grandmother used to make them all the time. Was just telling that to my wife some time ago and she surprised me with some homemade last week. That's great! Your wife loves you, I can tell. I cheat. I use a pressure cooker to cook the chicken. Then, I remove i...

I didn't think to take a picture. I made chicken and dumplings last night. Really tasty and filling.

What I absolutely HATE is seeing people using the finger quotes when talking. It makes me think they are having a seizure or something.

Mine certainly isn't soft in the springs. This thing snaps into place with a very loud thwack and it feels so solid it is confidence inspiring.

Did you hear about the first restaurant to open on the moon? It didn't do well. It had great food, but no atmosphere.

Re: Manix 2xl
Welcome to the forum. I had two M2KL's but I sold them. My hands are wide and thick and that hook on the pommel irritated my little finger when I used them. The regular M2's hook is not so pronounced and I can kind of ride it. Otherwise, I really like that XL. Doc, if we´ll ever see an FRCP linerle...

Re: The Three Godfathers 1948
Yeah, my wife and I both love The Quiet Man. Wayne did some of his best acting in the 1948 and onwards. Sure, there were some that weren't as good, but even his last movie, The Shootist, he was stellar and it was so poignant. The Three GodFathers is a really great movie, up there with Stage Coach an...

Re: The Three Godfathers 1948
The movie stared John Wayne, Harry Carey, Jr. (and was dedicated to his deceased father Harry Carey), and Pedro Armendariz. There were also the usual cast of great actors: Ward Bond, Ben Johnson, Mildred Natwick, Hank Worden, and many other recognizable actors.

The Three Godfathers 1948
We watched The Three Godfathers (1948) the other night. It was a John Ford film staring John Wayne and in typical Ford fashion there was a lot of humor, action. and raw emotion. Great movie. Highly recommended.

Re: Where Artificial Intelligence Is Right Now
I mean, A.I. only know what they are programmed to know. Just a thought. IMO, this assumption won't be applicable once Humanity successfully develops a true AI (i.e. once AI achieves general intelligence). With the ability to think, learn and reason on its own, it isn't going to be confined to arbi...

Re: Is there a quintessential Spyderco?
Delica and Endura are the quintessential Spydercos. I think all others flow from that design philosophy in some way or another. They harken back to the original Spyderco design.
