Re: 3 on a tree

In heavy, stop and go traffic, pushing in on a heavy clutch repeatedly will wear you out. It was fun when I was young, but nowadays, I want an automatic.

You both may be right. I see it as an indicator of the insanity in which we are forced to live. Here, knives are verboten.

Victorinox going bladeless

Woke is going to make them broke. Victorinox is caving and will start making their Swiss Army Knives without knife blades. They will still make current models with blades, they say. Here is one of the articles I read on the subject:

Re: Salt steels for pool/chlorinated water.?

That is actually a good question. My H1 never has issues (nor my watch, for that matter). I remember seeing a knife on another forum that had gotten chlorine on it and it looked bad.

3 on a tree

Anybody here every drive a car or truck with the manual shift on the column? We called that 3 On A Tree. I had a 1963 Ford step side pickup and a 1979 GMC fleetside pickup. The Ford was black, with a six cylinder and a thrush muffler. The GMC was white, chrome wheels, V8. They were great trucks. Dri...

Re: Family friendly jokes

Okay, just one more, I promise:

A blond man shouts frantically into the phone, "My wife is pregnant and her contractions are only two minutes apart!"

The doctor asks, "Is this her first child?"

The blond man replies, "No! This is her husband!"

One more:

A blond man spots a letter on his doormat, It says on the outside of the envelope "DO NOT BEND." He spends the next two hours trying to figure out how to pick it up.

A woman shouts to her blond husband, "Did you find the shampoo?"

"Yes," he answers, "but I don't know what to do. It says for dry hair only and I've already wet mine."

Re: Lost my Military 2

I remember when cuffs were in style on dress pants (I still like cuffs). I dropped my knife and didn't know it. Later, I went to use it and it was nowhere to be found. I looked everywhere. Then, as I was walking, I noticed one pant leg was feeling funny when I moved. I reached down and lo and behold...

Re: Which one should I get next?

Well, here are some good choices that you won't regret:
Dragonfly 2
Chaparral
Manix 2 Light Weight
Military (1 or 2)

All of these are missing from your collection.

Re: My first SLIPIT experience / Spyderco Urban

Spyderco makes confidence inspiring slip joints. I'm glad you finally got one. The UKPKs action feels a little different than the Urban. It is a little lighter and smoother.

Re: Family friendly jokes

Worried that they hadn’t heard anything for days from the widow in the apartment next door, the mother said to her son: “Tony, would you go next door and see how old Mrs Pierpoint is?” A few minutes later, Tony returned. “Well, is she all right?” asked the mother. “She’s fine, but she’s rather annoy...

Re: Lost my Military 2

Man, that is a real bummer. I wish I had the money so I could buy you a new one...maybe give it to your wife to buy. Anyway, I've lost knives and the biggest culprit was the seat belt. It might be between the seat and the hump/armrest, or under the car seat.

Re: Social networks vs. forums - possible return of content to the forums?

You have to understand. Knives will suddenly fly through the air of their own volition and attack people for no descernable reason. This is unnerving and calls for the utmost effort to restrict these vicious objects.
