Re: Is this the knife everyone clamors for?

We really need a new release of this knife with a new, more fashionable steel.

Re: Family friendly jokes

A university first year decided to try out for the rugby team. “Can you tackle?” asked the coach. “Watch this,” said the student, who proceeded to run smack into a telephone pole, shattering it into splinters. “Wow,” said the coach. “I’m impressed. Can you run?” “Of course I can run,” said the fresh...

Re: New Manix 2 with Uneven Bevel

Your knife was sharpened on the day that Johnson from maintenance came by to try his hand on the grinder.

Seriously, I don't see this often, but sometimes I have. Unless it is egregious, I wouldn't worry about it. Just reset it as you normally would and use it like it was intended.

Re: Date Code on Box

Someone else can chime in. The extent of my knowledge of the Renegade C23 is that this one was made in the years you suggested. It is marked GIN-1 on the blade and that with the box makes me think 1994-1995. However, I am not anything close to an authority.

Re: Is this the knife everyone clamors for?

Is this the knife everyone really wants? If they got rid of the second point in the handle so my fat mitts were comfier, sure; I'd try one. I just find the Shaman handle to be a lot more comfortable. Looking forward to the Bodacious, also. Since it is linerless, that is easily remedied. You'd have ...

Is it possible to set the date using this code?

I don't think so, but if you show us some pictures of your knife we can probably narrow it down for you.

Re: Is this the knife everyone clamors for?

I think the backlock Manix could be my one-and-done knife. I prefer the slightly thicker handle for comfort, but wouldn't object to a bit more chamfering. The texture on the G-10 is perfect for me; it gives enough traction, has a pleasant feel, and is smooth going in and out of pocket. The fully cl...

Re: Is this the knife everyone clamors for?

I have never seen anyone prove that the linerless G10 Manix 2 back lock is any less strong than the one with liners that can be bent or rust. I don't know of any proof that the Native linerless G10 is any less strong. I think this is all needless worry. I see the blade breaking before the pivot, sca...

Re: Is this the knife everyone clamors for?

https://i.postimg.cc/pXLrvjXJ/IMG-6506.jpg I enjoy mine as much as the day I opened the box , changed clip and put in my pocket . Feel the same with my original C95 . MG2 You have good taste, obviously. It beats me how some people bashed it because the blade was thicker, but then jumped on the Sham...

Is this the knife everyone clamors for?

Is this the knife everyone really wants? Here me out. People decried it because it had such a thick blade and other complaints. However, when one looks at the specs, it has the same blade thickness, and close to the same specs as other well loved knives and none of their detriments. https://i.postim...

https://i.postimg.cc/TP0Prh02/Shannons-Balkan-Blend.jpg A great shave. Nice 😎 Thanks! It really is a superb razor. The soap is really good, too. It is Shannon's Chupacabra base Balkan Blend, which is a blend of pipe tobacco scents. The brush came from APShaveCo. It has a 28mm G5C knot (hair). It do...

Re: How Shelac is made

I don't know if it is durable enough for a knife handle that would get used. It isn't like lacquer or polyurethane. Still, it would look really good. I know! But it's so "old school" that it's hard to resist. Most of my wood projects are finished in natural finishes: linseed oil, tung oil...

Re: How Shelac is made

Thanks. That video has been in my YouTube suggestions, but I didn't watch it until just now. I like the Business Insider videos. Shellac intrigues me, but I've not used it on anything since I was a little kid. How do you think it would work out on wood scales for my next Mule? I don't know if it is...
